8/29 French Propose Their World Order
"Using force is often tempting," he said, but "can only
be justified if collective security or urgent humanitarian
needs require it." Force must be "a last resort," and
"only when the international community, through
        the Security Council, decides."

5/16 Can anyone tell me what Greece is hoping for by rejecting austerity?
From here it seems like the austerity is a pretty generous attempt
to keep Greece from imploding entirely. Are they hoping the
Germans will put them on eternal state welfare, or what?
Also, why would an outright default mean they must leave the Euro?
Is it just that they won't be able to pay basic gvmt services

12/15 I'm planning on traveling to Europe and I was wondering if there's
any reason I shouldn't be able to use a US power tap/strip (no surge
suppression) with just a plug adaptor (i.e., no voltage conversion).
This would be for use with electronics that accept 100V-240V. While
the power strip is intended for use at 120V, it's just wires, right?
(Also, this power strip has no power LED or similar.) If anything,

All the nations of the world combined aren't worth the security provided by the U. Marine Corps alone, let alone the other service branches. Let's just replace it with a nice plaque or something, instead of a new "supersized" U. Ah, la bellyacher France, which has defied EU for 3 years now in regard to it's deficits. And France that will become Al-France is 50 years or less. France, that marveleous place that is clinging to it's Offal Tower demanding that French be the world's leading language in spite of all the Chinese, Spanish speaking, and not to mention, the hated English speaking peoples. It does remind one of the band still uselessly playing on on the poop deck while the Titanic sank. The French want the world, and specifically the United States of America, to be ruled a global government--one that is backed up by armed force that exceeds any other on the planet. There is no room for anyone but the United States on the Security Council. Because American Counties are about equal to other nations, every American County should have a seat in the General Assembly So9 116 17 posted on 08/29/2003 1:31:14 PM PDT by 117 Servant of the Nine (Put some ice on that) 118 Post Reply | 119 Private Reply | 120 To 1 | 121 View Replies To: Corporate Law Insufficient hospital staff due to mandatory max hours limits for all government workers including medical staff in a socialized system. Leaving the elderly relatives home to die as families go on a month-long vacation and the whole country except the tourist resorts and the funeral homes shut down. Facing every problem by making the crucial decision of who or what to surrender to. No appreciation of the importance of individual freedom as against the interests of the State as determined by the whims of the mob or the Robespierre or Napoleon of the moment. In France's world, everyone could ship all their old relatives to Paris and then go on vacation. France will soon be just an ugly memory in the history books of Europe. The Moslems are rapidly conquring the place via demographics & immigration. Fhe Frogs don't have a clue about what to do about their terminal situation except croke at the USA! This is the same thought as the attempts by the left to take away guns that are legally owned. If the law abiders can't have guns, only the criminals will and they will have a free hand. You throw that out the minutes you hear a French accent. They can't even get the EU off the ground, for heaven's sakes. The UN is crumbling and illegitimate, Europe is "united" in bickering, in-fighting and is in danger of looming nationalism, and this moron wants to take it another step? Let's just replace it with a nice plaque or something, instead of a new "supersized" U. As long as it is located in France and paid for by the French. They are, frankly, tired of backing the losing side almost every time, from the American Civil War right through Gulf War II. They are looking at a Big 3 Alliance: China, India, and America. There would be a General Assembly, of course, where complaints from the Second world, mostly Africa and Europe, can be filed for later attention. France will soon be just an ugly memory in the history books of Europe. The Moslems are rapidly conquring the place via demographics & immigration. But the problem is that the French have nukes, so we can't let the Moslems take over. We will end up having to go and rescue their sorry a$$e$ yet again, all because they've been so spinless and allowed the mess to grow and fester. Hey, if it gets rid of the UN, I'll pay for the plaque, and I don't care where it's located. I suppose I already know the answer, but one is still left asking the question. I say send the Marine Company in and make them the 51st state. Trust me, after the French are made to bathe, and use A/C, they'll straighten out? First, France must cease to exist as a political entity. No citzen of France, as it exists now may ever hold a position of authority in the new "world government" and all the current citzen's of France and Germany are personally liable for all of the debts incurred as a result of WW2. Until we are paid back every dime spent fighting WW2 and reimbursed for all moneys spent on the Marshall plan and the outlays of the cold war protecting these leeches from their friends beyond the Urals we remain in charge of the whole world. At the point the debt is paid off we will turn over responsibility for keeping things stable to the UN, but of course we will be absolved of all obligations to that organization in recognition of the burden we have already born dispraportionatly on behalf of the world.
