6/23 Passing out "homemade" signs at Obama rally
        http://theunfocused.blogspot.com/2008/02/passing-out-signs-at-obama-rally.html
\_ this is about the level of me seeing a pro mccain poster on the bulletin
board at work. big whoop-dee-do. stop blogging about your toast being
           burnt.
\_ this is about the level of me seeing a pro mccain poster on
the bulletin board at work. big whoop-dee-do. stop
blogging about your toast being burnt.
\_ Wow, look at all that FURIOUS ANGER in the comments. This is
           awesome.
\_ The always vitrolic and bile-filled Right actually has something
to be upset about for once. I wonder if their heads are going
to explode in November when O actually wins.
\_ What do they have to be upset about again? That they were
given a free reign to do anything they wanted for 5-6 years
and ended up destroying the economy and America's reputation?
\_ They are losing control of the government.
\_ You mean they are unable to control the BEAST!!!
Big government BAD BAD BAD! Starve it! Go Reagan!
                  \_ It's all Bill Clinton's fault!
\_ When Bill was POTUS we had a Republican Congress.
\_ Yes because the economy and America's reputation were
perfect before W. Hint: deficits and bubbles were
existing problems. And don't liberals love gas prices
                    being high?
\_ The argument that the absurdities of the W-Admin
should be forgiven because no one's perfect fails on
its face. In the history of !perfect, no POTUS has
done more to screw us up.
                       \_ Carter.
\_ Even Carter didn't leave our military and our
economy in a mess on the scale of W.

I was even able to shake the senator's hand and say "hi." I think we all know by now that everything in politics is staged. I recorded someone from the Obama campaign passing out signs made by the campaign that looked homemade for people to hold up. When someone from the campaign was coming toward my direction with a sign that said "Tejanos for Obama," I held to my camcorder tightly because I didn't want to be holding a sign just because I'm Hispanic. wahhaw 7:30 PM, February 23, 2008 I first noticed fake homemade signs like that watching Robot Wars on Techtv, then that celebrity boxing show on Fox, and lately on the new American Gladiators. It's really sad the lengths people will go to create the impression of enthusiasm for someone on a reality tv show, much less a politician. It says alot about politicians that they are learning how to manipulate the public by watching reality tv. Proof 7:04 PM, June 21, 2008 It's like that old saw about success in the radio biz: All you need is sincerity! Anonymous 10:03 PM, June 21, 2008 Standard practice, going back at least as far as the Reagan campaign rally I went to in the 80s. It lets the campaign organizers filter out the inevitable "Abortion is Murder" and "Bushitler" signs that people try to hijaak rallies with. It also helps the Secret Service keep out weapons by having less irregular "things" for them to have to screen. tyree 8:36 AM, June 22, 2008 Anon made some good points, but who decide the messages to be displayed? Obabma or someone he can conveniently throw under the bus? A fake "Tejanos for Obama" implies support from a specific cultural group that may or may not exist. The Democratic Party has worked real hard to break down the United States into easily control ethnic and cultural blocks, and that is not a good thing. Obama appears to be every inch the racist Reverend Wright accuses me of being. Anonymous 8:37 AM, June 22, 2008 Gee, Anonymous You really meant to say that various kinds of printed signs have been handed out freely at these events, didn't you? The point about this post was that the signs are made to appear homemade. ChenZhen 10:51 AM, June 22, 2008 Valarie- Who's to say that those signs aren't homemade? Anonymous 11:40 AM, June 22, 2008 "Valarie- Who's to say that those signs aren't homemade?" The 'homemade' she was talking about vanished when those people left their homes without them ..... tyree 11:54 AM, June 22, 2008 Anon- Read the post, Teresa said that the signs were handed out by political operatives at the rally for other people to hold up. They may have been made in the home of someone, but that is obviously not the point. This is typical Chicago style dishonest politics, but at least it's a "change". But Barrack Hussein Obama is nothing but a marxist and his goal, like any good marixst/socialist, is to control every aspect of our lives. If this guy get elects, say good-bye to liberty and freedom. This is called campaigning-you have people do stuff like that. Anonymous 4:30 PM, June 22, 2008 jebster, you don't know wtf you're talking about you parrot. david drake 4:54 PM, June 22, 2008 Fake homemade signs from a fake campaign by a fake cadidate. If The LeftTards can believe anything they want about Bush, Cheney and 9/11 - even though facts (Popular Mech debunking 9/11 conspiracies for one) prove them wrong, please do not deny those of us who choose to "beleive" that Obama is a phony, a fake, a fraud, a charlatan, a poser and a Muslim. This is called campaigning-you have people do stuff like that. His campaign is giving out deceptive "seemingly homemade" signs to give the impression that the sign was made by the holder and reflects the sentiments of the holder. If they were not trying to be deceptive why not hand out signs that are obviously mass made and obviously campaign signs like the ones that littler the sides of the roads. Yiddish Steel 6:41 PM, June 22, 2008 Why would this come as a surprise to anyone that actually bothers to investigate these candidates; especially the Democrat candidate that always has the support of the Mainstream Media. If it's not astro-turfing, or planting questions in their stump garden, it's staging "authentic" support. wcbent 8:51 PM, June 22, 2008 Obama is the best marketed politician I have ever seen. The media always makes McCain seem like a stodgy old man who cannot quite keep thinking straight. Obama is always marketed as clear thinking, happy and intuitive. I have never seen such a clear separation of candidates. Clinton was often portrayed as having a husband problem and somewhat frustrated. It does not take a rocket scientist to know the answer to that. rkeyo 10:37 PM, June 22, 2008 For the less observant, the signs were printed on both sides, and some in the crowd already had ones exactly like the ones the heeler was passing out. This is the party that invented election fraud, and obviously, in spite of all the phoney pronouncements from Obummer, nothing has changed, nor will it. Jebster 10:55 PM, June 22, 2008 "Anonymous 4:30 PM, June 22, 2008 jebster, you don't know wtf you're talking about you parrot." You are probably too stupid to know what a marxist is anyway. Anonymous 3:31 AM, June 23, 2008 Ob_ma, may his name be praised, cannot be hurt by your pissy little comments. Those people "intended" to make signs - so the Ob_ma campaign made them for them. And a lot of those people will "intend" to vote, so their votes will be cast for them - what service! Would it be a big deal if they were giving out Tejanos for Obama t-shirts? No, it wouldn't, even though they still promote Obama and are being paid for by the people who want them. So your only issue is that the signs appear to be made by the individuals holding them rather than some volunteer working for nothing but the feeling of making a difference while stuck in a run down, storefront campaign office. Wayne 7:46 AM, June 23, 2008 I've certainly brought extra home-made signs while counter-protesting "anti-war" activists, because sometimes people want to stop and join us; People make signs just be be clever and we put them all together when we arrive. Some homemade signs look professional, thank to computers. This is interesting but more information would be needed to know if the campaign actually made the homemade looking signs or if someone just brought them in and handed them to campaign workers because they wanted to help. A youth group at a church might do that, for instance, or even local "anti-war" activist groups that love to make signs. And they would all have a similar style if they were made like that, too. Why would the campaign not pass out some signs if they were brought in? Another explanation is people might bring in a sign at one campaign stop and afterwards say, "here, keep this sign" to a campaign worker. They would have quite a collection for future stops, then. Bear in mind that I, too, think Obama is a Marxist and his policies horribly wrong. However, there's no sense raising a ruckus about something unless we know it to be true. This video is an indication of staging but not proof of anything. It would be even more interesting if a reporter challenged Obama's campaign. Still, if someone takes a sign and holds it, then to me they are indicating they believe what's on the sign. If they really don't, then the signholders are guilty of deception, not someone who asks if they want to hold the sign.
