eegeesee2 o 16 hrs ago I would say that most Americans of the age group of Palin & Cuomo are (like me) familiar with the term "shuck and jive" (or it's derivative, "shucking and jiving") from the work of the late, great "Dandy" Don Meredith who used the term regularly in the mid-70's while broadcasting Monday Night Football to tens of millions of households. Meredith used ther term to describe endzone dances by (among others) the great Billy "Whiteshoes" Johnson of the Houston Oilers. In that context "shuck and jive" would mean dancing as in "to dance around the issue" which I presume both Cuomo and Palin meant to convey in their comments. Of course racist code makes for a much juicier story 2 weeks from election day.

I've googled the term, and the reference used by any sight that states it's racist uses the Urban Dictionary as it's source. I have never heard of the Urban Dictionary and it looks to be full of all kinds of racial slurs and not at all a formal dictionary. Still, what formal Dictionary would label whites as Racist Euro-Americans? That alone defies any integrity as the writers of the Urban Dictionary seem to have racial issues of their own.
