The beauti ful 1,077 acre Stevens Creek Park offers widely diverse recreational ame nities, including the 92-acre reservoir. The 1,095-acre Upper Stevens Cr eek Park offers lush, densely wooded trails for a variety of users. The unique combination of recreational resources and natural beauty make Ste vens Creek and Upper Stevens Creek Parks a magnet for hikers, bicyclists , picnickers, equestrians, water recreationists and nature lovers. Visit ors may enjoy exploring the remnants of the historic Villa Maria orchard . To access the park fro m Cupertino, take Interstate Highway 280 to Foothill Expressway. west three miles to the northern park entrance (Foothill Blvd. changes into Stevens Canyon Road as it crosses McClellan Road). Fr om Saratoga, travel north on Highway 9 to Pierce Road. Turn onto Pierce Road and travel 18 miles to Mt Eden Road. Turn left onto Mt Eden Road and travel 15 miles to the south park entrance. Upper Stevens Creek Pa rk can be accessed from Skyline Blvd. A parking area is locat ed approximately 3 miles south of Page Mill Road and 32 miles north of Highway 9 Upper Stevens Creek Park may also be accessed by foot, horse or bicycle from Stevens Canyon Road or the connecting Mid-Peninsula Open Space lands and trails. Public transit is available to Stevens Creek Co unty Park. Activities Stevens Creek Reservoir is a 92 acre, non-power boating reservoir popular with fisherman and boaters. Anglers may fish for Rainbow Trout, Black B ass, Large Mouth Bass, Catfish and Crappie. Sailors, kayakers and non-po wer boaters can enjoy a beautiful view from the calm waters of Stevens C reek Reservoir.

Six beautifully shaded fi rst-come, first-served picnic areas are scattered throughout the park. T hree of the picnic sites are located along Stevens Creek. Three group pi cnic areas are available by reservation for weddings, ceremonies or othe r group functions. Hikers, bikers and equestrians may enjoy a variety of over 6 miles of single track and multi-use trails. Solitude may be foun d along many of the trails which connect with the Mid-Peninsula Open Spa ce Fremont Older Preserve. Mountain bicycling is one of the more popular recreational activities at Stevens Creek Park. Upper Stevens Creek may be accessed through Stevens Creek Park and functions as one of a chain o f many publicly owned lands located along the peninsula skyline. The Bay Area Ridge Trail also passes through Upper Stevens Creek. Archery enthu siasts may practice their skills along the 28 station roving archery cou rse and range which is open to the public. Stevens Creek Park is also on e of the most popular birding parks in the bay area. Over 125 species ha ve been sighted and recorded to date. Horses are available for rent at G arrod Stables located just outside the south entrance on Mt Eden Road. The ranger station, located at the north entrance to the park, provides maps and displays for visitors. Picnicking Picnicking by families and groups is one of the most popular activities a t Stevens Creek County Park. Please help make this experience enjoyable for everyone by adhering to the following rules and any posted regulatio ns: * Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A re sponsible adult (with picnic items) must be present in order to hold a picnic table. Please ca ll (408) 355-2201, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Reservations at group areas do not include reserved parking. Hours and Fees The parks are open year round from 8 am until sunset. Boats must be off the water one half hour before sunset. Fees are also required for group picnic reservation s Accessibility The majority of the park's facilities meet those standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
