5/1 Is that how the vagina of a virgin should looks like? I've never seen
        one. Thx. (NSFW)
\_ IMHO this is irrelevant. From my past experience, there is no
correlation between vaginas that look clean vs. feeling good.
You can't tell how tight they are until you try them.

5/1 I have roughly $500 to spend on a "toy". The finalists are PS3,TiVo,
Sirius or an High Def TV. I am concerned though; that the technology
is still too new and the prices may drop further. Which one of these
is the safest bet to be a good deal? Thanks
        \_ Wii
\_ second the Wii, get 2 controllers and 2 nunchucks and box it out
\_ $500 isn't enough for an HDTV. PS3 will drop in price. Tivo is
only good if you have analog cable (the HD Tivo is more than
\_ PS3 will drop about 100 dollars in a year, good games for it
won't really exist for about 3-6 months. Is that worth it to you?
High def needs $1000 at least. The other two seem stupid to me
but then again I'm not big on radio and I get my tv online.
\_ PS3 is $600 not $500. And anyway there don't seem to be any great
games yet (or maybe one). New Xbox 360 Elite is $480 though and
has more games. I guess you should first look into an HDTV so that
you can get the benefit from the other things. I don't recommend the
Wii because there are few good games. It's fun for a while though.
The Nintendo DS is fun. A 360 with Guitar Hero 2 etc would be a
better "investment". Another fun toy to consider: a Glock 19 (~$550)
\_ is there any small (19" HDTV) for less than $500?
\_ at that size, it would be much more economical to just put in a
              HDTV tuner in your computer.
\_ Dell sells widescreen monitors for $400.

it into one of my work computers to keep it charged. I was told not to
use the older firewire plugin chargers on the newer ipods. Is there
such a thing as an AC adapter for the 80Gb ipod?
\_ You can get a wall wart with a USB port for iPod charging from the
           Apple store for about $20.

I wanna read RMS vs Kahan.
\_ ^bacon^crenshaw didn't come up with anything new?
\- there are even worse things than the melon episodes
... worse than you can imagine. well actually, maybe
THE WORST thing you can imagine. let's just say
his west coast behavior was better than when he was

when he was kicked off the airplane on the way to
the 1998 usenix technical conference in NOLA.

5/2 Tonight on Glenn Beck's HNN show will be featuring the *other* side of
the Global Warming debate. He doesn't say it's the final answer, just
presents those who don't agree with Al Gore's movie. -emarkp
\_ Is this a followup on why Gore == Hitler?
\_ I just saw him talk about that. He sounded like a complete tool.
Do you really respect Glenn Beck at all?
\_ Yep. Watch an episode and/or listen to his radio show, then tell
              me what you think. -emarkp
\_ I've never heard his radio show. I've seen his TV show.
This is why I am questioning your judgement, he appears to
be a complete idiot, one of those 'I can't imagine why
any left leaning element would think I am taunting them!'

5/2 Is the CSUA office moving?
\_ Yes. Although the CSUA office appears to be located in a static
position on the surface of the earth, the earth's surface is in
constant motion as the very thin plate of rock the office rests on
shifts across a giant ball of magma. The earth itself is spinning
at roughly 24 mph. It is also moving around the nearest star, we
call The Sun, at a rate of one revolution per approximately 365
days. At roughly 93 million miles in a slightly elliptical orbit
we leave it to the reader (or google) to find out how fast that is.
The Sun is moving through the Milky Way galaxy once per 64 million
years while the galaxy itself is on a collision course with another
nearby galaxy. But don't worry about that. Long before this
galaxy collides with another thereby destroying the CSUA office,
the molecules of the office itself will be reabsorbed into the
Great Soup Of Stuff that the universe is made of and long forgotten
by the survivors of any current species.
\_ the one-liner below you was funnier.

5/2 "A Chinese anti-satellite test in January increased the risk that a
spacecraft could collide with debris by up to 40 percent in some
        orbits," (Yahoo! News Photos)
Wow. Killing N birds with one stone.
\_ err... it is not like China is the only country doing this. Both
USA and formal USSR has done something similar in the past.
What made Chinese anti-satellite test anymore special again?
\_ now the world knows better?
\_ very funny. This is again one of those "it is ok for US
to do it, but not everyone else" kind of thing.
\_ So what you're saying is, that because idiots in the
past didn't know how stupid what they were doing was,
even though everyone now knows, it's OK for you to
                    do it?
\_ Why did China test the missile in the first
place? If you read up a bit on this, you could
see that the whole thing could've been avoided,
if the United States does what it asks the rest
of the world do. It's like, "You can't have
nuclear weapons, but I won't sign the nuclear
                       non-proliferation treaty".
\_ So, some asshole (the US) shoots itself in
the foot, incidently splattering blood over
everyone nearby and putting them at risk
of disease. You do the same? Blowing up
a satellite in LEO was a stupid thing to
do even if the US is being a fucking idiot.
China damaged their own interests as well
as everyone elses. There's just no other
way to call it excpet that it is stupid.
The US is stupid, for sure, and hypocritical,
but why does that force China to be stupid?
\_ Why do you think this is stupid? The
risk of debris or something else?
\_ That was covered. When you blow shit up in
LEO it leaves debris that can take out other
satellites. Thus, it is stupid unless your
goal is to make certain orbits useless.
           \_ Doing != done.

              Et al
\_ Yes, I know, but I haven't seen anyone on motd defending
\_ "It happens all the time." "...standard enough politics
to not be worth looking into.. The Dems are playing
                     lame-o gotcha games with Bush..." "I guess I don't
understand why this is a story. Almost every
president fires all the attorneys and replaces them with
their own. W decides to just replace a few. Therefore W
                     is bad? huh?"
\_ No no no. Those are people saying that the firing of
US attorneys was okay, not people saying Gonzales
should stay. Once he came out saying "duh, I wasn't
                        involved" he became indefensible.
\_ He should have said, "their hiring was a political
decision, they serve at the whim of the President,
their firing was a political decision, tough". But
he was stupid and should get replaced now not
because he broke any laws or is unethical, etc, but
                           because he is stupid.
