9/19 Real (i.e. inflation adjusted) per capita spending in the proposed
2010-11 General Fund budget is nearly the same as in the 1994-95
budget 16 years ago. Real per capita spending did increase during
the <DEAD>dot.com<DEAD> boom and again briefly after 2003 but current per capita
spending is below the recent long-term average.

8/11 What happened to the anti-government dude?
"A recent report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
showed that nearly all states will spend less on vital services in
2012 than they did in 2008, after inflation, even though there
are more children in public schools and more poor people on the
         Medicaid rolls."

        http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/30/us/politics/30orange.html
\_ and the state is slowly turning conservative. Meg 2010!
\_ We will see. Seems unlikely.
\_ Yeah, because CA sure has a problem with not enough dems in power!
If only dems had been running the state for the last 40 years!

2/20 Ok serious question, NOT political. This is straight up procedural.
Has it been declared that we didn't find WMD in iraq? (think so).
So why did we go into iraq (what was the gain), and if nobody really
knows, why is nobody looking for the reason?
\_ Political stability, military strategy (Iran), and to prevent
           Saddam from financing terrorism.

Good comment Marked as spam Reply Does anyone ever listen to what the person is saying or just spout there one sided views because he is not on there side, we are still in Germany, GERMANY for God's sake. No one ever says bring our troops home from Germany, we have been there for over 60 years. Just because your friends and family are fighting in Iraq right now does not mean we will be fighting for 100 years. Good comment Marked as spam Reply He is an old senile man that has no idea what he is talking about and needs Liebocrat Joe Leiberman told hold his hand and be his Vice President. Good comment Marked as spam Reply We will soon be forced to leave. The current oil price will just make it impossible to continue the war. Since Jan 1 2008, the cost of the war has increased $4bn/year on fuel expenses alone. The Pentagon will not keep up the budget and the public opinion is simply not there to increase funding. If oil is above $110 until mid 2009, the war is over at that point, one way or another. Good comment Marked as spam Reply SKorea has a more powerful military, a stronger economy, as well as more advanced technology and larger population than NKorea. Meanwhile you also have China, Russia, and Japan who can also keep NKorea in check. Vietnam became a stronger nation, they became united, and now Americans are visiting Vietnam and vice versa as well as trading with them and doing business. Good comment Marked as spam Reply Marked as spam Wow and theres people that support this warmonger. Any John Maccain supporter should be locked up behind electrick barks. Voteing Ron Paul For the Recorded non of that half and half shit like Obama. John McCain (R-AZ) defended his recent statement that he is fine with keep troops in Iraq for 100 years, saying "Americans aren't concerned" about troops in Iraq for the next 10,000 years. On Meet The Press, he also said he would support permanent bases in Iraq.
