View Replies To: bushfamfan I wish they'd destroy that bridge. I feel the same way, but then they'd have to re-build it, and there are b igger things to take care of right now.
View Replies To: UnklGene What is it about that Marine's face? All the colors, the battle worn helmet and jacket and his eyes. In life he is s o young, but the Marine in the picture looks so timeless. It is as thoug h he is the American Hero, American Patriot, he carries us in him everyw here. The Kerry supporter pukes are not worth the ashes that fall from h is cigarette.
View Replies To: A knight without armor You said it very well, what I've felt looking at that picture. He's only 20 yrs old, but he's older, wiser and more experienced now. I'm sure the NOW gang a nd other groups are spinning like tops over that fact.
View Replies To: A knight without armor What is it about that Marine's face? And there he will stay until I know he's home, back in Kentucky, smokin' a Marlboro on his fam ily farm.
Is it just that people can't properly conceptuali ze anything about the war without needing some kind of celebrity or trad emark? It's only a guy smoking a cigarette (and probably a set-shot) - what can possibly be so brave or noble about it that people latch-onto it like so me kind of talisman or swoon over it? IMO: promoting shots of Servicemen working with the civilians better-exem plify what's happening over there than someone sucking on a smoke.
