8/29 New Orleans is so screwed up. Why is anyone seriously talking about rebuilding it? http://csua.org/u/jew \_ conservative think-tanks are so pointless. Why does anyone take their commentary seriously? \_ funny short url there \_ Sheer volume. It's hard to believe that anyone could publish so much and yet actually say so little. |

8/28 Wow so is New Orleans gonna turn into a lake? And I wanted to see that place... \_ It would be a bay. -tom \_ I'd say it's definitely worth it to spend a few days in New Orleans as long as they don't have hurricanes or mardi grass or similar parties (unless you love seeing noisy drunken college kids everywhere). |

2/12 What's a good site for finding cheap airfares these days? I know about Travelocity, but are there others? \_ http://cheaptickets.com, http://expedia.com, http://priceline.com \_ http://orbitz.com, http://hotwire.com \_ I concur... these are two excellent services that I have used several times. If you have more flexibility, you'll get a better deal with hotwire. I used hotwire to fly to mexico for a month, and orbitz to fly to DC for the weekend. Little known fact: Hotwire advertises to give you no flexibility in terms of changing or cancelling a purchased fare... but if you beg and plead enough, or have a good excuse, they'll give you one change or cancellation. - rory \_ For observation purpose only: http://www.air-fare.com/oak.htm \_ Thanks for the pointers. Has anyone had bad experiences with the sites listed above? \_ I did with Priceline. See http://www.angelfire.com/nt/priceline \_ http://www.angelfire.com/nt/priceline/mystory2.html "Page removed by request." |
