\_ The "religious-battle-in-ger" part in the URL is funny. "ger" in
Cantonese happens to refer to the male genital.

12/4 Just saw a normal dating ad, except, it's JDATE. The people on the
commercial don't even look Jew. Are they opening up the doors?
        \_ is she hot?
\_ I dated a blonde Jewish girl from Wisconsin. She didn't look
           Jewish either.

9/18 Why are so many ACCOUNTANTS Jewish? Not a troll, just curious.
        Gil. Goldberg. Levy. etc...
\_ Perhaps b/c historically Jews (unlike Christians) were allowed
to charge interest on loans (usury).
\_ ok, fine. What about lawyers? I don't get that one.
Goldberg. Ginsberg. Buergenthal. Rosenthal. Hoffman. Shapiro.
\_ Arguing is part of the Jewish culture. It is sort of a
relgious thing too, if you look at the Talmud, it is a big
legalistic argument over the centuries. Good training for
                 arguing court cases.

6/6 It is impossible not to be reminded of the classic Jewish joke
about the Jewish mother in Russia taking leave of her son, who
has been called up to serve the Czar in the war against Turkey.
"Don't overexert yourself'" she implores him, "Kill a Turk and
rest. Kill another Turk and rest again…"
"But mother," the son interrupts, "What if the Turk kills me?"
"You?" exclaims the mother, "But why? What have you done to him?"
\_ classic joke that no one but jew-haters have heard? Helen Thomas is
           that you?
\_ guess everyone on the motd is a jew-hater now.
\_ I read it in the Tikkun newsletter.

10/9 Will Glen Beck's head explode?
\_ Oh, I'm sure he'll rant and rave. What else is new?
Of course, giving Obama the peace prize is dumb, but it's a step
up from Al Gore. At least a dozen steps up from Arafat.
           \_ Kissinger beats them all.
\_ Kissinger stunk, but worse than Arafat? I dunno. That's close.
Granted, Kissinger was well before my time.
\_ I think massive secret bombing of Cambodia is a lot
worst than anything Arafat may have done.
\_ Arafat, Peres and Rabin shared the prize in 1994 for bringing
an end a 50 year long war between Egypt and Israel and finally
bringing lasting security to Israel. Two of the three were
assassinated by extremists from their own country in the next
decade. Arafat himself was the subject of an assisnation attempt
decade. Arafat himself was the subject of an assassination attempt
for his work. It was actually one of the clearest cases in history
where the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to people to really
deserved it. The wing-nut brigade in the US hates the award,
but they hate the idea of Peace period.
\_ Which one do you want to go away if you had just one choice:
           Glenn Beck or Ann Coulter?
             \_ Michelle Malkin
\_ I love them both. "Never interrupt your opponent when he is
              making a mistake."

opportunity to work with whole bunch Israelis and working with them
has been an absolute pleasure. HOWEVER, I just failed to understand
why people got offended by the speech by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In my
relatively neutral point of view (I am an Asian), most of what he
said has strong points. For example, it is obvious that the
Holocaust has greatly enhance the chance of creating the nation of
Israel. and Most Europeans, who has centuries of antisemtic history,
decided that Palestine people should be the one who bear the cost of
        this statehood.
It is also true that for all practical purposes, Israel is
a racist Apartheid state. What is wrong with these facts? why
people walked out for Iran to state the obvious? or we don't have
the guts to admit it yet?
\_ why don't we wipe out all the chinese mainlanders so the Taiwanese
can restore the former chinese dynasty? I mean this will greatly
enhance the building up a freer China.
\_ NO FREE SPEECH FOR RACISTS!
\_ My observation: I did not hear the speech but some newspaper quoted
Ahmadinejad mentioning the "question of Holocaust", and that's b.s.
Holocaust is not a question. It's a historic fact. In any way
I don't pay much to what he says because you know he's not sincere.
He's kinda like many other muslim Holocaust deniers. ("Hitler did

Apparently he did not question the existence of the Holocaust in
this particular speech, though he has in the past.
\_ first of all, he didn't denied it this time. secondly, who
cares if IRAN denies the Holocaust? Last time I checked,
Iran has nothing to do with Holocaust at first place.
What I am seeing is that USA and rest of Europeans are the one
in denial. They want to deny the following trend of logic
              1. Holocaust happened, this is not right
              2. Jews need a homeland to protect themselves
              3. Since non of us want Jews to establish homeland in our
territory, let's do that on Arab's land.
              4. let's call Arabs "terrorist" because they don't accept this
arrangement and deny the fact that it was Arabs who provided
safe haven for Jews for centuries.

\_ you need to do a better job than that. I am sincere about all
these things I've raised. There is a clear cause-effect
relationship between Holocaust and creation of modern Israel
nation. I felt that majority of European nations and America
are in denial of this. By the way, there was a proposal to
create an Jewish settlement in Alaska around the time of end ofr

1/27 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090127/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_gaza_challenged_8
In one classroom Saturday, when UNRWA schools reopened, a Palestinian
teacher was filmed asking children about their trauma during the war.
The unidentified teacher then told the children that Palestinians have
to "wage war against them (Israelis) until they leave their land," and
asked her students, aged about 8, how they should react.

Two children in the class suggested hurling stones or rockets back at
Israel. "Okay," the teacher said, apparently summing up her class'
position. "We throw rockets at them, we throw stones at them," she
        said.
        \_ Yawn
\_ Yes, the appropriate response to invasion by foreigners is
surrender! How dare they defend themselves?
\_ Would you like freedom fries with that?
\_ I wouldn't ever advise kids to throw rocks at an army. Maybe the
teacher should be throwing rocks at Hamas (their elected gov't).
\_ right! we got rid of our moron leader Bush.. they should
                 do the same or stfu
\_ Who is the foreigner? The land belongs to both. However, only
one side is willing to accept the presence of the other.
\_ Complete bullshit. c.f. "right of return". Also, there are
Israelis who don't accept the presence of the Arabs. Clearly
the Palestinians have by far the worse situation, they have
the worst land, are poor, and live under a sort of Israeli
lockdown. So it's not really surprising that Israel is more
                 accepting of this situation.
But this is how peace always works. It takes one side or the
other to basically give up. But this only works when there is
a viable alternative path, like Germany and Japan after WWII
were pretty fucked, especially Germany, but there was an
economic path to prosperity. The Palestinians' situation is
being in disjointed non-nation territories with various
instances of Israeli settlement and security checkpoints etc.
\_ Israel has a rather large Palestinian population (20%) and
Palestinians are represented in the Knesset. There is
no reason why the Palestinians cannot live in Israel.
As for 'right of return' they mostly left on their own
accord fearing that Israelis would be as barbaric as they
are and most of them don't want back. They want their
own State, which they already fought for and lost.
\_ Isreal will not let them back, that is why they
cannot live in Israel. Some left in 48, some were
forcibly moved and most were born since then.
\_ If they were born since then how can they "go back"?
Can Americans go back to England? Can Mexicans
go back to Spain? They are being ridiculous.
\_ How could the Jews "go back" to "their" holy land.
                             \_ Thank the Brits.
\_ Germans can "go back" to Germany, even the ones
born two generations after their grandparents
were shipped by Stalin to the Urals. Many other
countries use Jus sanguinis (nationality by
blood) rather than Jus soli (nationality by
place of birth) even the US, to a certain
                             extent.
\_ can I say Israel is a "racist" nation just because by definition
it is a "Jewish" state? It is well known that Palestinians in
Israel doesn't have the same right as regular Jews.
