Sure glad I bought a house in San Francisco, instead of the suburbs,
like suburb-lover told me to do.
\_ May I refer you to the crime stats of Oakland? Or should I take
the bait to point out that there are good suburbs and bad suburbs,
just like good cities and bad cities?
\_ Oakland is a suburb. I don't know of any diverse, walkable
suburbs that one can navigate with a bicycle and bus pass.
But you and I define "good" and "bad" quite differently, I
              suspect.

How come I don't feel the same problem with brakes on my car? Do car

com Posted: 06/16/2013 09:25:55 AM PDT June 16, 2013 4:25 PM GMTUpdated: 06/16/2013 09:25:58 AM PDT A teenager and a dog were gunned down late Saturday and police are searching for at least two suspects in Vallejo's latest homicide. At about 11:28 pm, Vallejo police responded to to reports of multiple shots fired and a subject shot in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Sawyer Street, police said in a statement released early Sunday. The victim, an 18-year-old male, was taken by his family to a local hospital with numerous gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at about 12:53 am after being treated at the emergency room, police said. Vallejo police are withholding the man's identity pending notification of next of kin. At least two suspects are believed to be involved in the shooting, which took place while the man was in the front driveway of a children's party he was attending, police said. In addition to the man, a 2-year-old pit bull was also shot and taken by animal control officers to a local veterinarian for treatment, police said. The case follows a string of violence in the city during the last two weeks, including a double homicide and two officer-involved shootings. Anyone with information can call the Vallejo Police Department at 1 (800) 488-9383.
