5/3     What's the best way to take a medical leave of absence? Do they actually
        need a doctor's note, or is it usually on a trust basis?
        \_ I've never needed a doctor's note.  I have heard of people being
           asked for one after they return from a long leave, though, so you
           might want to make sure your doctor at least has a record of how
           long you've been sick in case it comes up.
        \_ Obviously it depends on the company.  My previous company had
           unlimited sick leave, and no doctor's note was needed.  Yet I didn't
           know of anyone who "became sick" frequently.
