1/24 Is it rude when, during a heated technical discussion between me and a
co-worker, he dismisses my argument by saying "You're just trying to
be cute". Does that mean the same thing as "You're arguing just
because you want to make yourself look smart."? Thx.
\_ More like "your argument is too pretty / clever."
"It's a fine line between clever and stupid."/
Either way, you should definitely be offended. Definitely.
\_ It is pretty rude, but you should try to avoid being offended
by your co-workers if at all possible. Definitely do not lose
           your cool.
\_ "you have presented a problem in a way that will cause me to rethink
alot of my self constructed theorems. My system works for me; and I
do not have time to adapt/use yours." is what he means.
