3/10 Pelosi, you hypocritical bitch
        http://www.judicialwatch.org/news/2009/mar/judicial-watch-uncovers-documents-detailing-pelosis-repeated-requests-military-travel
        \_ http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=7057198&page=1
Let me guess, ABC is obivously just too liberal for words.s
\_ Why do you hate America?
\_ America: love it or leave it, traitor!
\_ You ignorant fool. For one, she's third in line for the presidency.
Third. Flying privately with a trusted party makes damn good sense.
For another, she didn't request a large plane and only flew on it
when no other options were available, opting instead to go for a
12-seater plane. Lastly, her family members aren't even allowed on
the plane without compensating the military for the flight. This is
not a flagrant abuse of tax dollars. Parent post, ignorant bitch.
           \_ Let them eat cake!
\_ You idiot. Her flying in a private plane is reasonable for
              safety concerns. The 12-seater is a G5!!! It's a luxury plane.
And she was damn particular about wanting the G5:
"It is my understanding there are NO G5s available for the House
during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable,"
said Pelosi appointee Kay King in a May 10, 2007 message to the
DOD. "The Speaker will want to know where the planes are."
"This is not good news, and we will now have some very
disappointed folks, as well as a very upset Speaker," King wrote
              in another message to DOD.
\_ What would you prefer she ask for, an F-15?
\_ If I were her, I'd request a C-5. You can play football
                 in one of those.
\_ Oh NOES, an appointee said mean things to staff! That means
                 Pelosi's a corrupt beast!

Donate Promoting Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in Government, Politics and the Law Judicial Watch Uncovers Documents Detailing Pelosi's Repeated Requests for Military Travel Contact Information: Press Office 202-646-5172, ext 305 Washington, DC -- March 10, 2009 House Speaker Issued Unprecedented Demands for Military Aircraft and WastedTaxpayer Resources with Last Minute Cancellations Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Department of Defense (DOD) detailing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's multiple requests for military air travel. The documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), include internal DOD email correspondence detailing attempts by DOD staff to accommodate Pelosi's numerous requests for military escorts and military aircraft as well as the speaker's last minute cancellations and changes. " The email also notes that Pelosi's office had, "a history of canceling many of their past requests." folks prepping the jets and crews driving in (not a short drive for some), cooking meals and preflighting the jets etc." In May 2008, for example, Pelosi requested that her husband join her on a Congressional Delegation (CODEL) into Iraq. The DOD explained to Pelosi that the agency has a written policy prohibiting spouses from joining CODEL's into combat zones. Pelosi noted in her letter of August 22, 2008, that such a request, labeled "Operation Tribute" was an "exception to standard policy." "It is my understanding there are no G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. " wrote Kay King, Director of the House Office of Interparliamentary Affairs. fly commercially but you know the problem that creates with spouses. If we can find another way to assist with military assets, we would like to do that." Speaker Pelosi came under fire in 2007 for requesting a 42-seat Air Force carrier to ferry the Speaker and her staff back and forth between San Francisco, CA and Washington, DC. Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert was allowed access to a 12-seat commuter jet for security reasons after the events of 9/11. "Taken together, these documents show that Speaker Pelosi treats the Air Force like her personal airline," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "Not only does Speaker Pelosi issue unreasonable requests for military travel, but her office seems unconcerned about wasting taxpayer money with last minute cancellations and other demands." Pelosi needs to pay her own way as a taxpayer I am tired of this female dog spending taxpayers like a drunken sailor on a three day pass. the military needs to refuse this ding bat any more trips on airforce planes. hey nancy drive your damn car to and from California get off the airway your polluting our air. As a sailor, I resent the As a sailor, I resent the drunken sailor implication. Other than that, 100% agree that pelosi et al, needs a pop knot on their head for ignorance and knock some sense loose. Above that, they all need to be held accountable for their actions. I'm Not The Least Bit Surprised This is so typical of the Democratic Party bleeding hearts. They rail about Republican waste, but it doesn't faze them in the least to waste taxpayers' money. What a JOKE our government What a JOKE our government has become. Think about it --- Obama, a poser of a president, totally in over his head; What the hell were people thinking when they voted these clowns in? Iffen i had won of them thar arplanes, i could be aflying jes like Nasty peloski. But durn, I dont hav one of them fellers so's i guesst i jes hafta pays fer her to hav one . I hope that Pelosi, Obama, Frank, Reed and company keep up their arrogant disregard for "we the people." It will usher in the greatest cleansing of Federal Government largess in history and sweep into offices a fresh breath of ordinary folks with integrity. Thanks for what you do It is not surprising that what Pelosi has said in public doesn't square with what she does in private. Probably why the Pope issued a public statement, after meeting with Pelosi, if the Pope knows, who doesn't. Pelosi Travel Tips Pelosi does not represent my district. She should not be taking my money for her personal travel whims. There are scheduled commercial airline flights to San Francisco several times a day. I will grant that in an emergency, such as after 9/11, a temporary situation exists where the Speaker should have the protection of military flights, but only temporary and on a very limited basis. The Speaker should A) reimburse the military for flights B) pay income tax on the flights as with any perk offered by an employer. The speaker is a citizen and should travel like the rest of us if for no better reason than to see how difficult common travel has become. But if a better reason is necessary, she needs to know that the cost is money not hers to take, frivolously or otherwise. THIS IS BLATANT STEALING Down where i live this would never be accepted. Just because she is the House speaker, she is no better than any other representative or congressman in the congress. she should use commercial airlines and support our economy instead of stealing from the taxpayers. Look like the hypocrisy of the Democrats that rag on everything a Republican does is coming home to roost. But the lunacy that came from the left during Bush's presidency was appalling because most of their complaints are reversible.... It will be joyful to watch this Democrat controlled congress fall flat on it's face. This will take a scant 2 years before these leftist loon fall out of grace. Then our president will have to work to get legislation passed instead of it being handed to hm on a silver platter. Bush would've been better off if he had at least one house or the other controlled by the Dems. This enslaves these people making them dependent on the government. Of course they exempt themselves from this redistrubtion of wealth. And when all is done we find ourselves slaves to the new class of truely evil rich who could really care less about us. When they are up for relection we need to, by and OVERWHELMING majority, vote them out of office and never allow them to get back in to any office (not even dog catcher). They'll ignore it and blame Fox News for "over-reacting." Any CA resident who votes her back in should be ashamed of themselves, but MA voters kept re-electing Teddy, so she probably won't go away. But the Queen has exposed herself as being above us all. Are you people for real She is the Speaker of the house, third in command in this country, these are internal documents about her planning her busy schedule of flights and trips, every fortune 500 company in the world have a person that will be in constant contact with whomever they need to plan trips and schudule planes, hotels, security etc.. WAKE UP PEOPLE where was your outrage when we gave billions to no bid contracts in IRAK, where was your outrage when we ballout all the banks without asking them to have accountability. It is definitely time for some House Cleaning in Washington. Forget the fact that she's ugly, she continues to be the most unprofessional Speaker of the House in History and completely out of touch. Who are these California Democrats that keep voting for her? Time to make a list of all the House Dems that need to go, starting with Pelosi. After reading over the After reading over the emails, I don't see any indication that Pelosi is doing anything unusual for the position. There was a request to fly from an airport closer to her home (which was denied, as a matter of policy but also citing cost), but perhaps Pelosi did not realize the costs. It would be helpful if data comparing Pelosi to other Speakers and other congresspeople were provided. For instance, the summary makes it sound like Hastert used these planes once following 9/11, yet the emails suggest it was very common for him to use these planes (and that he always took staff along). It should also be noted that family reimburse the DoD for their use of the plane. These Bozos are selling our Countr...

SHARE The treasure trove of documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Department of Defense regarding Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's use of military aircraft doesn't seem to prove the organization's allegation that Pelosi has made "unprecedented demands" for the flights. The documents cover the period from January 2007 to November 2008 and show that Pelosi made the equivalent of 20 round-trips between Washington (Andrews Air Force Base) and San Francisco. That's an average of less than one round-trip per month. In contrast, former Speaker Hastert traveled home to his Illinois district virtually every weekend and, his former aides tell ABC News, he would almost always travel on military aircraft. Like Hastert, Pelosi also occasionally leads Congressional delegations on foreign trips (the documents show six foreign trips: one to Asia, three to the Middle East and two to Europe). Obama to Sign Pork-Laden Spending Bill The documents obtained by Judicial Watch also disprove another frequently repeated rumor about Pelosi's travel: that she regularly flies home to San Francisco in an Air Force C-40, the military equivalent of a Boeing 737. According to the documents, Pelosi did not make any domestic trips on a C-40 during the 23-month period from January 2007 to November 2008. Her trips to San Francisco have all been on smaller executive aircraft, usually an Air Force C-20 (the equivalent of a Gulfstream G-3) or a more plush C-37 (a Gulfstream G-5). The Judicial Watch release cites e-mails from the military complaining that Pelosi was frequently reserving military aircraft and then canceling, causing the Air Force to incur costs as crews prepped planes than never went anywhere. These e-mails, however, are from early in her tenure as speaker. The only other time the issue of cancelled flights comes up is when Pelosi was forced to cancel flights to California in October 2008, when the House was in the midst of intense debate over the $700 billion Emergency Economic Stabilization Act. The Defense Department official seems to fully understand the situation, writing, "I do not see malice or a lack of urgency on their parts given the weekend Hill proceedings.
