\_ Yes, and it was written about Jerry Brown. I was thinking this
as I cast my vote for Meg Whitman. I am independent, but I
typically vote Democrat (e.g., I voted for Boxer). However, I

\_ We will see. Seems unlikely.
\_ Yeah, because CA sure has a problem with not enough dems in power!

7/25 Is there a polite way to tell a recruiter "too busy at the moment
but keep me in mind for future stuff." Or "not in that field at
this exact moment but am switching positions over the next few
months for your role, keep me in mind" ? Thx.
\_ You know what, recruiters have thick skins. You won't hurt
their feelings. Go ahead, try, you can't possibly get them down.

The super secret-squirrel negotiations result in a scrambling of speedy analysis, trying to figure out what is really in the package. State Senator Bob Dutton, who ironically is the Vice Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, like everyone else has been scrambling to look into the details of the plan, having had it sprung on him just like everyone else. Attached is a document (excel format) that details the sad truth, which is that if you apply the traditional "normal" definition of cuts (you know, were we actually reduce the amount of money on a program, as opposed to "cutting an anticipated increase" -- or how about calling cuts items that have to be paid back? Or put another way, there are nearly $3 dollars in tax increases for each $1 in cuts. Bookmark and Share Comments Show us what MORE in education you'd cut, Senator Dutton. Show us which university campuses you want to shut down and how many kids you want off the children's health insurance program. Perhaps slash some homeland security money and rural law enforcement too? How about the highways in your district -- I guess they don't need improvement nor repair?
