Good comment Marked as spam Reply Can you tell me if you posted those signs on public property on the sidewalk or private property. Because I believe in San Luis Obispo, where I live, we can't put them on public property. But if we can, I would love to do the same, I have had 3 different people steal my signs.
operationfreespeech (11 hours ago) Show Hide Marked as spam Reply Yes, we posted these on public property. Make sure you know and understand your local municipal code as it pertains to sign theft there in San Luis Obispo. The police should treat this just as seriously as any petty theft crime. Also, you'll need to clarify with the police that the signs belong to YOU, not to the Yes on 8 campaign.
It's ironic that the signs for NO on 8 say "Equality for All" yet many of them, especially in our area, won't even allow us to express our freedom of speech. When we hold our signs to voice our opinion, many of them swear, ridicule, show their displeasure by giving me their IQ with 1 finger and other actions which goes against their "EQUALITY FOR ALL" motto. Let's keep standing up for whats right in our area, our state and our country!
operationfreespeech (10 hours ago) Show Hide Marked as spam Reply cryan71 - We're not pretending this is one sided... Check the police reports in your city if you don't believe us. Sign stealing is not only "accepted" by the opponents to Yes on 8, we have reports that it is strongly encouraged. Do you honestly think that we would be able catch this many people in so short a time if this weren't a common tactic of the opposition?
Good comment Marked as spam Reply Where is your source crying71? Post a video, post a police report, post something that proves your point IN YOUR AREA! All I know is we have bigtime H8ters for YES on 8 where I live.
As support grows for California's Prop 8, the opposition is becoming desperate by stealing and destroying Yes On 8 signs. To counter this blatant disregard of our free speech, Operation Free Speech sets the trap and helps the police nab "Yes on 8" sign thieves.
