10/13 Obama supporters calling Palin a cunt.
        http://tinyurl.com/4l2xrf
\_ ob I thought Hillary was
\_ No, Hitlary is a FemiNazi.
              \_ ob why not both
\_ It is okay to call some a Nazi but not a cunt?
\_ Wow, people are being assholes on the internet! I never!
\_ Well, now, they're just following John McCain's lead.
\_ Love the comments. "You are a bone gagger." But yeah, this is
           pretty low.
\_ Calling Sarah Palin a bad word vs. calling Obama a terrorist,
a socialist, an Arab, and comparing him to a stuffed Monkey.
            Yup, pretty much the same!
\_ Not to mention doing so loudly and publicly at a McCain rally
and McCain/Palin didn't even feel the need to say "hey now,
that's not reasonable" until after the media started to notice
that McCain was intentionally stoking such hate. Hey OP, this
is an obvious attempt to turn McCain's ugly ugly campaign into
just another tit-for-tat politcal story, but that's just not
              going to fly.
\_ at what point did people call Obama a terrorist and/or Arab
where Palin and/or McCain "stoked" that or let it go? I'm
                curious to see that.
\_ You don't pay much attention to the news do you?
\_ Why not give him the link instead of just insulting the
guy? Not everyone is a news junkie.
\_ The person was calling Ayers a terrorist, not Obama.
\_ That is one interpretation, not mine however. What
about the guy who yelled "kill him!" do you think he
was agitating for the lynching of Ayers or Obama?
                         http://tinyurl.com/4o73mt (HuffPo)
\_ I think it's obviously referring to Ayers.
\_ Saying something multiple times doesn't make it
                             even remotely true..

but where are the media reports about Obama supporters wearing t-shirts calling Sarah Palin a C*nt? Please let me know where and I will add the link as an update. This picture came to me via email, the email text is below: I was at a Sarah Palin event in Philadelphia, at the Park Hyatt Hotel - late Saturday afternoon (Oct. If you are easily grossed out by the "C" word, I am sorry. But as Andrea says below, if McCain supporters wore a shirt that said "Obama is a Nigger" or even "Obama is a Bastard" or "Obama is a Terrorist" at an Obama Rally, they would either be thrown off the premises, have their heads kicked in, or even be detained at the local police station (I know this for a fact: I just had on a McCain button at a recent Obama event and I didn't think I was going to get out alive). But these four young people were right in front of the hotel. There was group as well carrying around a fake dead fetus - exclaiming that "abortion should have been the path for Bristol Palin". The police and hotel security and secret service were letting me all the way up to the hotel steps. In my family, the "C" word is about as bad as you can get. All that was on the Philadelphia local news last night was: Obama was at several rallies in Philadelphia earlier in the day (but went home Saturday night to be with his children). In the Sports section of the local evening news at 11:00PM, they did mention that Palin was at the Philadelphia Flyers game "dropping the first (hockey) puck". Then he added that Sarah Palin WAS NOT going home to spend the evening with her children. Please circulate this to as many people as possible and let them see the double standard. A PS from Andrea (last name redacted by WUA): Calling Sarah Palin a c*nt would be the equivalent of a group of protesters calling Obama a nigger. If that ever happened you know we would be seeing it for weeks replayed endlessly with discussions about how the race is still close because Americans are racist. I wonder what is taking the media so long to report something this obvious? id=88550842&cgroup =sl240x115_round&color=blue&format=sl240x115_round&subid=90697864 32 Responses to "Obama Supporters Call Sarah Palin a C*nt-Where Is the Media?" Jay on October 13th, 2008 2:49 am I'll keep your advice handy McPain. Personally I'm planning to raise my kids conservative, yet allowing with an open mind for them to come to their own conclusions and learn their own life lessons. I will not indoctrinate them with my own views like liberals do. It's shown next to the HOPE and CHANGE shirts, you moron. I have yet to see that behavior in a predominantly conservative/Republican area towards an Obambi supporter. The other three are quite obviously converted bone smugglers, who converted beacause they couldn't get any even if a woman died an willed it to them. dave on October 13th, 2008 9:58 am I will not indoctrinate them with my own views like liberals do. I'm sure the networks will never say anything about this. continue to show their lack of education with their continued hate comments and physical attacks on anyone who has different views. You'd think an educated person could come up with other, more eloquent ways of expressing themselves. I suspect in 3 or 4 years these kids may have a different view of life. Nesh on October 13th, 2008 10:31 am Calling Palin a c*nt is really not a racial slur so you can't compare that to what people would say if they called Obama a nigger. Just ommit that your scared Obama is going to win Pennsylvania and McCain is going down the hole. bob527 on October 13th, 2008 10:36 am Nesh's comment verifies my last statement. Peter Fotinos on October 13th, 2008 10:38 am What I find very disturbing is the liberals are the ones who shout down opposing views, who physically attack people who disagree with them who blow up buildings and are unrepentant(bill ayers is an example)yet the press reports as if the conservatives are the dangerous ones for our freedoms. Add to this people calling Obama the Messiah and we are in for some big trouble not only is capitalism under assault but we may lose all of our freedoms especially freedom of speech. BC on October 13th, 2008 10:47 am Nesh on October 13th, 2008 10:31 am Calling Palin a c*nt is really not a racial slur so you can't compare that to what people would say if they called Obama a nigger. Just ommit that your scared Obama is going to win Pennsylvania and McCain is going down the hole. Both are vicious slurs, and should be treated as the vileness they are. Fred on October 13th, 2008 11:29 am Is there something wrong with being a C*nt? Having said that, only an a$$hole would wear a shirt like that crude, regardless of who they were talking about. Payton on October 13th, 2008 11:35 am These are left wing idiots, but would someone please tell me the origin of the "C" word. Tell me that is was used as a derisive slur for 400+ years, to oppress an entire race of people brought to this country in bondage. Once anyone can tell me that, then we can talk about how the "C" word, is equally bad as the "N" word. Some of you seem to be suffering from a terribly selective historical memory. It is a vitriolic hatred that is so evil that it reminds me of the anti-semitic rantings of the Brown-shirts in 1930's Germany. Our nation is coming apart at the seams and I know one thing. So, we shall then fall and our enemies and competetors shall rejoice. pcs on October 13th, 2008 12:20 pm Well first of all, there is no such thing as "homophobia". Phobia means fear, and the gross, vile and disgusting acts that faggits perform for pleasure do not invoke fear in anyone. They do however make normal people want to puke, and totally disgust them . A more correct term would be "homorevulsion" or perhaps "homodisgust." What they do is their own right, but to flaunt their deviant behavior and try to shove the fact that it is normal and right down the throats (that was a pun) of the VAST MAJORITY of normal people is criminal. And to anyone of the above mentioned majority calling someone gay remains an insult until death. But not to you as you are and always will be a sick rider of the Hershey Highway. pcs on October 13th, 2008 12:28 pm So in other words if a white person calls a black the very same word that they made up for, and use for themselves it is a gross, unforgiveable insult, but it is not possible for a minority to say anything that is an insult to a caucasian? Either a) you do not have a brain b) the one you have is severely damaged or c) you are brainwashed to buy into and spout this bs liberal double standard. Gunner Sykes on October 13th, 2008 12:55 pm Racial slurs are offensive. The really sad thing is that people like Nesh actually believe such nonsense. Bob on October 13th, 2008 1:14 pm For all you people complaining about the one-sidedness, what about the shouts of "Obama is a terrorist" at the McCain rallies? Are you guys disgusted at that too, or is it okay since it's against a liberal? Lord Alexander on October 13th, 2008 1:21 pm This is some of the dumbest nonsense i have ever read in my entire life. If you're looking for evil, look no farther than McCain supporters yelling "terrorist" and "kill him!" How some people can call these shirts evil while overlooking something like that is beyond me. Mike on October 13th, 2008 1:22 pm And what about when John McCain called his wife a c*nt? These shirts are obviously insulting to Palin, but they are not insulting to women. "c*nt" is not an inherently sexist term any more than calling a guy a "d*ck" would be sexist; the only difference is that "c*nt" is less popular these days, so it's seen as being harsher. Comparing it to "n*gger" is misleading, because that is a term that is usually aimed not just at a person, but an entire racial group. CatfishJones on October 13th, 2008 3:52 pm Hey Mike, the whole point here is that the media is so righteously calling out the McCain supporters, accusing them of inciting rage and meanness -- but completely ignoring the same behavior (or worse) from the favored left. The selectiveness of a media that has clearly chosen sides is the issue here. CatfishJones on October 1...

Secret Service is investigating the potential threat against Barack Obama at a Sarah Palin rally: The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of "kill him" followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama's relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers. Wiley says the Secret Service did not begin looking into the matter until press reports, namely Dana Milbank's article in the Washington Post, surfaced today, because no agents at the event heard anything. "The Secret Service did not hear any threatening statements directed at targets under its protection and no threatening statements were reported to us by law enforcement or citizens at the event," Wiley told Radar. Also unclear: whether the remark was directed at Obama or Ayers if the words were actually "kill" and "him." In the latest instance of inflammatory outbursts at McCain-Palin rallies, a crowd member screamed "treason!" during an event on Tuesday after Sarah Palin accused Barack Obama of criticizing US troops. "I hope Americans know that is not what our brave men and women in uniform are doing in Afghanistan. The US military is fighting terrorism and protecting us and protecting our freedom." Shortly afterward, a male member of the crowd in Jacksonville, Florida, yelled "treason!" loudly enough to be picked up by television microphones. wrote about a similar outburst yesterday: McCain was speaking today in New Mexico, doing his usual personal attack on Barack Obama, as the stock market plummeted (you can see the ticker next to McCain on the screen, an apt reminder of what McCain and his fellow Republicans represent), and McCain asked the crowd "who is Barack Obama?" McCain pauses, the audience laughs, and McCain continues on, not acknowledging, not chastising, not correcting. Oh, but McCain does say in the next sentence that he's upset about all the "angry barrage of insults." third party to do it: Judging by McCain's slightly startled reaction, he clearly didn't anticipate that reaction, and McCain's in no way responsible for the utterances of anybody in his audience. But he must have some idea of how deeply this fear/outsider/other meme has spread. reported on a similar moment at a Palin rally on Monday: "Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers," Palin said. "And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our US Capitol,'" she continued. highlights another incident from Monday: Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy." American News Project went inside a pro-Palin rally set up by the McCain campaign to watch the vice presidential debate, where supporters booed moderator Gwen Ifill and laughed when Sen. Joe Biden got choked up talking about his first wife and daughter's deaths. Video On HuffPost UPDATE: Radar reports that the Secret Service is investigating the potential threat against Barack Obama at a Sarah Palin rally: The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someon... UPDATE: Radar reports that the Secret Service is investigating the potential threat against Barack Obama at a Sarah Palin rally: The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someon... From all that I know about Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott, located in Ft. Myers Florida, I'm assuming he's a city official, elected and UP for re-election. That he would come to a rally in full uniform with a gun and spout out the "Hussein" lie to make people believe (fear) that Barack is a Muslim, when in fact anyone can look up his old friends and classmates and confirm that Barack was born a Christian, raised one and is one. I always thought that people in MIKE SCOTT's position were not supposed to put themselves in compromising positions. But he has yet to be punished in any way, shape or form. I will write AND call his office and speak to Ft Myers internal affairs. Keep in mind emails are not kept private by Florida's law. permalink This morning I saw part of a recent McCain/Palin rally. Palin was throwing accusations of "unlimited abortions promised by Obama" to which the crowd responded with boos. This went on through other words by Obama taken out of context and skewed, each time met with more angry boos. There was something about this that seemed so familiar to me but I couldn't put my finger on it. The scene was a KKK rally in which they were ready to hang a black man. This country has not progressed much in the last 200+ years in a very important way. Racially-rooted hated seems to be alive and well in America. While many Americans are embracing a poorly-spoken, hatemongering white woman like Palin (not much threat there), they are too ignorant and steeped in their old self-defeating ways to accept an intelligent, principled black man like Obama who could help us in rebuilding our position as a trusted and admired power in the world. It appears the decades of the "dumbing down of America" has been very effective. permalink Why don't Palin and McCain see that stoking fear and hatred, and allowing the type of dangerous outbursts in their rallies, is counterproductive for the US, as well as reflecting very negatively on them and their campaign? I've watched many heated elections, but never have I seen or heard the types of comments fueled, or allowed, by candidates at their rallies as they don't at theirs. By not calling out and correcting these hate-mongers at their rallies, they're encouraging them. I've often seen them smirk or grin with someone says something hateful and bigoted. What a terrible example they are not only to adults, but to children, watching. permalink Bigotry, racism, hatred, fear are not appropriate ways for political rallies to show their "frustration" with the media and I don't think that's what it was. Palin and McCain had used words that they knew would illicit a strong response and their words did. Implying someone is a terrorist allowed all kinds of untruths to charge through the crowd. One woman thought Obama was an Arab (absolutely not) and a Muslim (he's ALWAYS been a Christian). Even if he had been an Arab or a Muslim though, the animosity toward Arabs and Muslims frightens me and I'm neither. I worry how we will accomplish peace in this world if all religions and all cultures seem so fearful of each other. While we can't like dictators rule the world or genocide to prevail, we need to start with dialogue. I believe we need to protect our country and those in other countries with no voice. But we need to start with diplomacy, Looking at how McCain has behaved in this election, I don't see him as a diplomat or peacekeeper. There is absolutely NOONE who produces information for the public that will not be tainted consciously or subconsciously by their own opinions and views, be it bloggers, White House press releases, or your hated "Mainstream Media." It is YOUR job as a consumer of information to understand these biases, and to collect differing viewpoints to create a more complete view of the issues. It is NOT the news outlets' job to spoon feed you your own propaganda. permalink The 2000 candidate McCain had my respect, but I now no longer feel I know him. The guy who was a pow, who used to vote his convictions. This new McCain is tired, he seems so angry that this whippersnapper Obama actually won the nomination and could possibly win the presidency. and McCain smirking when audience members Palin has riled up scream "terrorist" referring to Obama. So, now, we get Rove...
