10/7 Ever Drink and Blog and feel stupid the next morning?
        GOOG has the answer:

\_ I once txt-ed msgs while I was really really wasted. They were
hilarious -- the English was slightly more coherent than the
           average psb wall.
\- you missed the entire era of "drink and su" and "drink and
              rwall" --psb

4/8 What's a good free e-mail provider? I don't want to use Gmail,
Yahoo, Outlook, or any of those sites with features I never use that
track my personal info and keep changing their interface. I want just
simple e-mail without privacy issues or all the baggage these large,
for-profit companies are adding. I might even be willing to pay.
        Recommendations?

8/29 There was once a CSUA web page which runs an SSH client for logging
on to soda. Does that page still exist? Can someone remind me of the
        URL please? Thx.
\_ what do you mean? instruction on how to ssh into soda?
\_ No I think he means the ssh applet, which, iirc, was an applet
that implemented an ssh v1 client. I think this page went away

8/16 Why does my Y! mail account always full of unfiltered spam
mails (and they're obviously spams)? Why can't they do
a better job like Google mail? Why does Y! mail charge
for exporting email? Google mail doesn't do that.

The Mountain View company (NASDAQ: GOOG), which makes most of its money from advertising, spends that money on a wide variety of issues, from the profound to the absurd. Last week, Google plopped out a policy document, a plan to get people thinking about weaning the United States off fossil fuels. This week, as a post on the "official Gmail blog" puts it, the problem to be cured is angry or embarrassing emails sent by drunk people. Gmail plans to offer "Mail Goggles," a kind of sobriety test to make sure a sender is sober enough to send a message. The program's default setting is for late at night on the weekend, when, as the blog says "you're most likely to need it." Jon Perlow, the Google worker who wrote the post, says his inspiration for the product was "the time I told that girl I had a crush on her over text message."
