1/26 Wozniak says the the Steve Jobs movie clip is historically inaccurate,
that Jobs was not so much a visionaire that Jobs claimed to be, as Jobs
was just looking to make a few quick bucks. Why should we trust
        Woz's words over Jobs'?
\_ Seriously? Read both the Steve Jobs biography and Woz's autobiography.
Nobody contests that Jobs was a scumbag. Also: the lounge in Soda Hall.

12/6 Lesson learned: don't talk about Monty Python on a date. Women just
        don't seem to get it.
\_ You are dating the wrong women (for you) then. My sister-in-law
loves it and yet I don't find it all that funny. It's not a
           gender thing.
\_ is she a nerd? does she laugh funny? is she actually decent looking?

\_ Cloud Atlas is a movie. Atlas Shrugged is a movie.
Cloud Atlas Shrugged is a made-up name.
              \_ How was Cloud Atlas?

If not, and you are familiar with Lord of the Rings or roleplaying games, you might enjoy it. Basically, Shamus Young, the creator, has treated Lord of the Rings as the fantasy campaign of a long-suffering Dungeon Master saddled with all too typical players, and illustrated it in the form of a comic using screencaps from the movies. And I constantly boggle that nobody did it before, and that nobody has copied him yet. Alas, DM of the Rings has recently come to an end, having told the story to the ending. new comic project, which involves a collaboration with an artist. This has led to a call from his legion of fans for someone, anyone, to fill the void: Shamus: Which reminds me: This comic is popular enough that I'm surprised nobody else has done something similar. There are tons of movies which are well known and take themselves very seriously, which are the two main ingredients for good satire. I keep expecting another movie comic to appear someplace, but it hasn't happened yet. " Whereas the kind of person who thinks, "I want to spend time and effort to make a high-quality webcomic" is not the kind of person who says, "It would be funny to spoof Star Wars." The taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute. Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly battleships, the greedy Trade Federation has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Naboo. While the Congress of the Republic endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, the Supreme Chancellor has secretly dispatched two Jedi Knights, the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, to settle the conflict... You just took a D&D equipment list and stuck techy words in front, right?
