11/5 Free Reiser! http://www.freereiser.org Trial starts this morning. \_ You think he didn't kill her? \_ where is the body? \_ probbaly vacationing in Russia. \_ you don't need a body. by your question you imply that by properly disposing of a body you can't be convicted of murder. and good question: if she's alive, where is she? I've followed this on and off since it started. Unless something really amazing comes out at trial in his favor, he's going up the river. \_ something amazing like his wife's lover (and his friend) ADMITTING to killing like 8 people already? I'm not saying he's innocent, but there is plenty of "amazing" to go around. \_ That was just in the Wired intervidew! Who reads that anymore. \_ Maybe he will end up like this cop: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/11/06/missing.woman/index.html |

www.freereiser.org -> freereiser.wordpress.com/ org hope to be able to attend, but unfortunately most of us are gainfully employed and can't make it. In other news, last night an interview was aired on 20/20 with Reiser. wrote: But whatever suspicion their findings manage to cast on Reiser, prosecutors must still contend with California's tough rules on circumstantial evidence. Judges in the state are required to instruct jurors that if the evidence suggests "two reasonable interpretations," one pointing to guilt and the other innocence, they must reject the guilty interpretation. Clearly the evidence does not even indicate for certain that any murder was even committed; there are millions of alternate explanations for the facts. reported that an extra search for Nina near Hans' home was fruitless. It is coming on close to a year for valient Hans, and yet still absolutely no trace of Nina. This only furthers my conviction that Hans is sure to be acquitted of murder. Update June 29th, 2007 Looks like the Wired article got noticed by a lot of people. Yes, it certainly portrays Reiser as a bit of an eccentric, but his heart is clearly in the right place and I think the evidence against Nina continues to become more and more apparent. Since there is still no physical evidence to prove Hans killed Nina, any number of possible explanations are possible, based on the circumstantial evidence. While Nina's upset family makes unsubstantiated accusations that Reiser killed Nina, I think it's equally likely based purely on the same evidence that Nina stole large amount of money from Namesys, probably paying off the Russian Mafia, which she is thought to have connections with. It seems obvious to me that she clearly faked her death and framed Reiser so that she could get back to Russia (not hard when you're paying off the Russian Mafia) to be with Reiser's children and spend his hard-earned money while poor Hans sits behind bars unable to even see his kids. It's a heartbreaking tale, and I for one hope he gets acquitted and Nina is brought to justice. Reiser Trial Postponed May 7th, 2007 Reiser's trial was scheduled to start today and I was hoping to go see it and show my support for Hans, but it's been postponed since his attorney DuBois is currently still finishing up another unrelated murder case. Nina supposedly broke up with him because he was too into his sadomasochistic lifestyle. The ex-boyfriend claims that Reiser should take credit for the murder of Nina: Speaking to Wired News, Sturgeon said "I will not take credit for what another has done. shtml) Who the hell knows though, this is a man who just confessed to killing eight people and getting off on beating the shit out of Nina. Interestingly enough, the only semi-reputable news source to report this (other than this blog of course) has been Wired, so far all of the Bay Area news outlets have refrained from mentioning this interesting tidbit of information. com/argus/localnews/ci_5512562 Police have yet to locate Nina Reiser's body and much of the evidence against Reiser is circumstantial. "He knows that they don't have the evidence to convict him and he just wants to go home," said Daniel Horowitz, a seasoned murder defense attorney who represented Reiser for two weeks. "Usually, time helps the defense, witness and evidence fades, the time makes a jury feel the case is unimportant. He just wants to get it done with and move on," Horowitz added. Reiser began that process Friday when he pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder and refused to waive time. As a result, his trial is scheduled to begin May 7 Reise's case is looking better by the day. He believes his trial will be over soon and him proclaimed innocent. He has refused to seek bail because he is concentrating all of his time and money on his legal defense. Hans Will Go Free For Sure March 20th, 2007 Personally, I am convinced that Hans will get off. There is not a shred of physical evidence to actually prove that Hans killed Nina. There are alternate explanations and interpretations of all of the evidence, there is no way he could be proven to be guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. The judge even went so far as to say she had grave doubts as to whether Nina was killed. She went missing September 3rd, and her body has still not been found. Poor Hans has been rotting in a jail cell without bail since October, rather than writing valuable software. I am fully convinced Hans will go free, and when he does we will throw a BBQ for our favorite filesystem developer. I was booted off the internet by my parents all of last month (sheesh, u know they hold up a ton of work on puppy when i get grounded). We all know this corproates conspiracy is holding back really important work. R EMEMBER GUYS: FREE SOFTWARE IS FREE LINUX IS A FREE REISER! Introduction November 24th, 2006 We hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! While you were enjoying meals with your families, a talented software developer sat in an Alameda County jail unfairly awaiting trial for the murder of his wife. We are concerned citizens who feel that this prosecution is a travesty of justice, and that Hans Reiser is innocent of the crimes of which he is accused. Our goal is to not only expose the truth but to actively campaign for his release. In pursuit of this goal, we will be blogging our discoveries as well as protesting in the streets. |

Friends and relatives of Stacy Peterson, 23, say her disappearance is suspicious. Drew Peterson, 53, reportedly has told police his wife said she was leaving him for another man, and police are not treating the disappearance as a criminal investigation. But the woman's aunt, Candace Aikin, of El Monte, California, said Stacy Peterson confided in her that there were problems during a visit to the Peterson home in suburban Chicago last month. "She said that she was afraid because he was following her around 24/7, even inside the house," Aikin said. "He was very obsessed and stalking her, even inside her house. "She was very, very full of stress and just not happy in her marriage at all," Aikin said. Watch the aunt's impression of the marriage Steve Cesare, a friend of Stacy's, said she sent him an e-mail on October 17 saying her husband was "controlling, manipulative and somewhat abusive." "But the part where it says that he was becoming abusive, that concerned me." Husband says wife is not missing He added, "She wouldn't have left her kids. Drew Peterson has told police his wife called him from a cell phone late October 28 to say she was leaving him for another man. She's where she wants to be," Drew Peterson told The Chicago Sun-Times last week. He told the newspaper, "I believed our marriage was good, but maybe she didn't." Drew Peterson told the Sun-Times his wife was seeing a psychiatrist, taking anti-depressants and had "mood issues" since the death of her older sister last year from cancer. But he told the newspaper he found it "very unusual" that Stacy Peterson would leave her children and his kids from a previous marriage whom she had adopted. For the last year or so, she's been very short-tempered, snapping on everyone, but still a good mom," the Sun-Times quoted Drew Peterson as saying. Police are not treating Stacy Peterson's disappearance as a criminal investigation. They say Drew Peterson is cooperating with their investigation. Watch how authorities are searching for the woman But local prosecutors are taking another look at the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, who drowned in a bathtub after the couple had divorced. Savio's sister, Sue Doman, said Savio expressed fear of Drew Peterson. Doman said she didn't believe her sister could have died in the way the investigation concluded. You just don't drown in the bathtub, especially a small whirlpool. In Illinois on Tuesday, police and volunteers were organizing new search efforts. Luis Gutierrez told the Chicago Tribune that investigators were searching nine "areas of interest" using cadaver-sniffing dogs. The couple's home and a pond at a nearby airport also had been searched, the paper reported. Investigators told the Sun-Times they also want to talk to the couple's children. advertisement Meanwhile, relatives are clinging to hope. |
