11/5 Barack Obama on net neutrality:
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd8qY6myrrE
I think Obama just got my vote. -dans
\_ I find it hilarious that I post something related to politics, and
it generates no response, but I post a job req and it triggers a
           massive flamefest. -dans
\_ It isn't your job posting that triggered a flamefest. It was
your hostile response to very simple, common, and expected
questions about your company. I don't recall anyone here ever
responding in such a manner to simple job questions.
\_ Really? Because I'm pretty sure it all started with someone
referring to me as 'the motd idiot'. I'm not sure how I come
across as hostile in that regard. -dans
\_ That isn't how it started and you know it. Now you're
                    just trolling.
\_ Please stop making shit up. -dans
                       \_ Maybe you're reading a different motd.
\_ Apparently. Try signing your name once in a
                             while. -dans

11/2 California Uber Alles is such a great song
\_ Yes, and it was written about Jerry Brown. I was thinking this
as I cast my vote for Meg Whitman. I am independent, but I
typically vote Democrat (e.g., I voted for Boxer). However, I

sooooooo love to vote out Boxer, but Carly completely ruined HP.
\_ The Republican party shall rise again!

Reply) I meant vote down the original comment with the 'thumbs down' feature. Guys you should check out dontregulate dot org NET NEUTRALITY IS A TERRIBLE TERRIBLE IDEA. Reply) Net Neutrality, I spend so much time on the internet, this is very important to me and my generation. Thank you Mr Obama, for understanding the importance of this issue. Regulation also made commercial dial-up service competitive and affordable. Had Ma Bell been able to charge more for internet "calls" via modems (and they would have), we get no internet explosion. But the FCC forced them to treat all calls--voice or data--the same. Now, Ma Bell is trying to pick the winners & pickpocket the true innovators. Sadly, the Bush FCC (except Commissioners Copps and Adelstein) is ready to play ball. I don't need to do a "quick Google search" to learn about its history. ARPAnet and NSFnet, precursors to the modern internet, were both created and managed by federal government agencies. Reply) tttttBoth the Dems and Rep are tttttpreselected by elites -- our world tttttis governed by a plutocracy. The media ttttttis pure propaganda and the people are ttttttgullible canonfodder! A quick google search will tell you that the internet was created by universities, corporation sponsership, and scientists. The internet is a freemarket, the big bad evil corporations can only ruin it with the help of government, government is the problem, not the solution. Net Neutrality IS the 1st step towards Government regulation of the internet. If your provider starts to give better speeds and service to certain sites then change providers!
