For a few weeks now, my boyfriend and I have been abandoning condoms and just enjoying the incredible sensations of skin-on-skin sex. We are both free of STDs and I am on the Ortho Evra birth control patch, so I am relying on its effectiveness to keep me safe. However, the Patch often falls off a day or two early in the shower or in bed, and I reapply a new one immediately.
In my Human Sexuality class, we talked about different kinds of birth control methods and I have heard that there have been some problems with that. fairly easy, only have to do it every 3 months, you don't have your period (at least I didn't). I wouldn't worry a whole lot, but I have just heard of some problems with the patch. I will never forget how intimate it felt the first time my fiance and I stopped using condoms.
And for the first few months of me being sextually active I wasn't on birth control. But anyway, I'm on the pill now and we never use any other protection. Most girls I've talked to have had very negative effects from the shot. They gained massive ammounts of weight and thier hormones were all out of whack.
PM User if I was in a relationship and prepared for the possibility of children yes I would, and Since I am in this scenerio I/we do ---------- May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy ------------------------------------------------ When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
PM User My boyfriend and I agreed that we're going to wait until our wedding night to go it without the condoms, even though I've been on the pill for about a year.
PM User i use the pill and take it religiously and correctly... but even if i were on something that took much more to screw it up (such as the shot)... i have NO desire for children right now and we're not even sure if we'll ever want one. my boyfriend and i have actually tossed around the idea of him going in for a vasectomy.
PM User You know, perfect use of birth control pills is more effective than sterilization (male or female) in preventing pregnancy, at least according to Planned Parenthood's website last time I checked. Anyway, I use birth control pills and only birth control pills. I have had only one partner and will only ever have one partner, and STDs are not an issue. I know many married couples who are not ready to have children either, but they are fine just using birth control pills instead of using them with condoms.
