We charge money because it costs us $3,400 per month for bandwidth bills alone, and since we don't believe in shoving popup ads to our registered users, we try to make the money back through forum registrations. Reply OptimusMatrix Nov 13, 2003 DICKLESS SHITEATER WHO BACKSEAT MODERATES This happened this past Saturday night around 11 pm at Speedway Raceway indoor go-karting track in Phoenix Arizona. It's was my wifes cousins birthday so a bunch of us decided to go race karts at night and usually they aren't busy towards the end of the night so we figured we'd head up there. My wife and I's, My wifes cousin Deniz's car and two of my wifes cousins friends cars. If you've never been to speedway it's in a very industrialized area so there aren't hardly any lights at all and the whole parking lot is fenced in except for one entrance which is located a very long way to the front door of speedway. So we arrive at around 11 o'clock and I go to the bathroom. I walk up to the urinal to pee and then i hear this banging next to me and hear some girl moaning. So I look down and and see someones shoes underneath the stall wall and realized that some dude is pounding out his girlfriend about one foot away from where I'm peeing at. At first he didn't believe me but I finally convinced him I was serious. I normally wouldn't of cared but there were a few small children still in the place and thats not loving appropriate in someones place of business. It was a Hispanic couple and I see them next to the race track with two other Hispanic guys and another girl. We do our races and by this time it's approximatley 12 in the morning. As were walking out the door you have to walk down this short hallway and the front door is glass. I'm the first one walking to the door and I see all the hispanic people outside and one of them is standing in front of our cars using his hand as a gun to act like he's shooting up all our cars as they are all lined up in front of the door about 40 feet away from it. He sees us and walks back up towards the door as we make our way out. There were about 10 of us all together including my pregnant wife and her three cousins and a bunch of her friends. When we get in front of our cars I make sure to not put my back to the guys standing near the door. I thought they were going to try and jump us to when I was shaking hands goodbye I was telling everyone to get ready just in case they try and rush us. Everyone is getting into their cars and getting ready to drive off. Deniz is already in the car with my wifes two other cousins. I'm sitting down in the car and my wife has the door open but she is standing there looking for something in her purse. Deniz is pulling away when all of a sudden I see one of the hispanic guys pull a snub-nose chrome revolver and start shooting at Deniz's car. This all happened in slow motion and I see Deniz slam on his brakes. I pull my pistol and line this guy up in my sights just in case he proceedes to point the gun at us. My wife is screaming like crazy and she's huddled up in a ball in the front seat. One of the other hispanic guys sees that I've got the guy with the gun dead to rights and starts yelling that we have a gun too. I think they're gonna chase us so I take off like a bat out of hell. I pass my wifes cousin Deniz as he's still sitting there I can see him looking at me so I know he's ok. We are hauling rear end through this industrial district not knowing if they are going to follow us. Finally we make in to the freeway and haul rear end about ten miles up the road. They asked if we wanted to file a report which we said yes. We made it to a parking lot with Deniz hot on our heels. It's got one shot through the bumper and none of them were hit. We decide not to persue it further with the police because my wife tried calling back to 911 5 more times and everytime it was busy. Deniz thought that his car was either back firing or the tires were popped thats why he slammed on his brakes. The only thing that was running through my mind was don't let my wife get hurt. I don't know if I made all the right decisions that night but when things like that happen you really don't have time to think. In case you're interested I carry a Walther P99AS w/ Federal Hydrashocks. OptimusMatrix posted: The only thing that was running through my mind was don't let my wife get hurt. You didn't escalate, you held your fire in a tense situation, and your primary concern was the safety of those with you. Quote Lando Sep 15, 2003 Drats, Banned again I wouldnt of waited for him to point it his gun at me to be honest. As soon as he started shooting at my buddies car, i would of defended him and my friends. I would have had major trouble not instinctively going for my gun in a situation like that. I admire you for not pulling the trigger if you believed that they weren't going to hit your friend, but I would have shot back. That's a tough decision to make when there are three of them, though. I'm just glad no one was hurt, and I hope they catch that loving idiot. Quote Doublethink Sep 11, 2001 Umpossible my dear fellow, simply umpossible Glad you kept your cool. I bought a new avatar because I want no one to know of my jew gold. You showed more restraint than I would have, especially since shots had already been fired... but you also don't have to live with killing someone, so that's good. This right here is one of the scariest feelings EVER, as my wife will tell you. We had some fucks shooting bottle rockets at our very wooden balcony, and were afraid they were going to burn the place down. Glad you were able to get away without having to shoot anyone. If someone started shooting at or anywhere near my wife, I hope i'd have the same restraint. Good on you for making the right choice in the situation. It'd be hard for me to know if I should return fire immediately, so the jerk has a hard time firing back or to hold my fire so as not to attract return fire to me and my nearby wife. Obviously, you chose right given the circumstances - moreover, you chose without hesitating, which is probably the hard part. Jun 29, 2004 Wait, so even though he was shooting at your friends and family, you weren't going to return fire unless he shot at you? Then you started to drive off before you even knew Deniz was alright? If they were running to their cars then they were probably getting the hell out of there, why would you also drive off at the same time as them? Obviously this all happened fast, but i think you're really lucky it didn't turn out a whole lot worse than it did. Quote Deathmeister Sep 13, 2003 God Damnit This is why angry Hispanics and go-karts decidedly don't mix. I had a similar incident that resulted in the offending party getting kicked off the track for crashing us, starting a fight (and losing), and then following my car down the highway swinging, and throwing, a tire iron at it, miraculously doing no damage. I couldn't pursue them or stop to wait for an ...
