RICO act (used to snare organized crime networks after someone has already committed a criminal act) in collaboration with game sites such as GamePolitics and GameSpot. Perhaps grasping at straws, JT brings the Bully "non-troversy" back into focus as the final bullet in his affirmative defense: Take-Two was also found, after the release of Bully homosexual sex in the game, which Take-Two "forgot" to tell the ESRB and Judge Friedman about. Thus, this affirmative defense rests upon the specific instance of Take-Two's deception in the context of a lawsuit that Take-Two seeks to prevent the filing of. The fully-clothed, light-hearted, utterly non-explicit scripted kisses between a handful of boys in a game where kissing girls is part of the game mechanic is hardly, by any stretch of the imagination, "homosexual sex." If so, then the game necessitates having repeated "heterosexual sex" to play at all.
Thompson's counter-countersuit includes a long, bombastic prelude, which incorporates mutually-exclusive concepts such as Thompson's portrayal of himself as a defender of civil rights and opponent of racial stereotypes just before this sentence: "What else would one expect of Scottish sociopaths sipping their single malt Glenlivet in between brainstorming software programming sessions?" He continues to mention September 11, and asks the seemingly delusional question: "What is America's rebuttal to the Islamic Fascist recruitment call? This counterclaim is the rebuttal, not just to these terrorists but to Take-Two." As does JT's following comparison of himself to Big Tobacco whistle-blower Jeffrey Wigand, as portrayed by Russel Crowe in The Insider. Make the jump to read about what popular blogs and websites JT includes in his racketeering and conspiracy accusations.
Regardless, I think we just discovered the next Pixar project. Doesn't every great story start out with the hero's parents brutally murdered and then fed to him/her?
jpg I remember playing Ultima Online a year or so after it first launched... honestly, I think those three months were the longest I ever stayed with an MMO I'm amazed that the franchise has lasted as long as it has, given how temperamental the MMORPG market can be, and even more impressed at some of the revamps that are coming along for the new Kingdom Reborn expansion. Speaking of that new expansion: the website is up, and it goes into detail about the new features that will occur in the UO universe... which are, mainly, the new user interface, improved gameplay features for new players, and a brand new graphics engine (which looks respectable while keeping the top-down view of the series). Of particular note is the "Before & Reborn" set of screenshots posted on the site, which provides for a rather stunning comparison.
This list details the Top 15 Unintentionally Funny Comic Moments. It truly does make for a great morning laugh seeing these comic frames from a different age. From Batman's not so secret love affair with Robin to all of Gotham City laughing at The Joker's hilarious boner!
jpg The folks at Three Speech sat down with Phil Harrison after his keynote speech at GDC, and he had some savory words to say about the possibilities of porn on the PS3. Actually he was speaking about the private versus public spaces of home. Essentially the public spaces will be under Sony control while the private spaces are just that, private. You can play whatever you have on your PS3 hard drive in your personal Home, whatever the content may be. Q: What about uploading porn from your PS3's hard-disk to your private space? And maybe inviting people you don't necessarily know back and them being slightly offended by what they see, then going to a moderator? PH: Well I'm disappointed that you would use those as the first questions. I think Home should be used for a much wider and more beneficial scope than that, but I think that people can express their creativity inside Home in a wide variety of ways and it's not necessarily for us to dictate what that should be. However, if somebody feels uncomfortable about an encounter on Home, it's very easy for them to ban that person from their friends list... He says that there will be no animations for avatars that would be considered lewd. Animations will be restricted to waving or touching in a very social way. Just a reminder social "touching" leads to spreading viruses, so protect your investment with some PS3 penicillin. It's simple just send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Phil Harrison courtesy of Three Speech. Don't worry the package will arrive in a plain brown wrapper to save you the public embarrassment of catching a virtual social disease.

jpg There are days when you can't help but love some of the folks in the gaming industry. Gabe, over at Penny Arcade, posted these pictures of a shipment Child's Play received last week. There are, quite possibly, no words in the English language to convey how utterly warm and fuzzy it makes me feel knowing that all those boxes are going out to hospitals around the world.
Playstation message boards are wrangling PS3's for a group to run the program on Sunday night. The effort is being dubbed the Sunday night Fold-a-thon. Neither Stanford or Sony is affiliated with the effort, but the support has been great since the announcement of the program. I encourage everyone who has a PS3 at thier disposal to help out for this admirable cause. Who knows, your PS3 may be responsible for curing cancer.
Folding@Home is available on the Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms. So if you don't own a PS3, you can still do your part by running this valuable program. If cancer research doesn't hit as close to home as HIV and AIDS research, there is a program out there for you too.
jpg Electronic Arts has announced that it's joined forces with Parsons The New School for Design in New York, the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles to start working on a new game based on Project Runway. EA has really formed an alliance with the schools in order to sponsor student-created exhibitions and competitions based on The Sims. The student artwork will cover the mediums of cinematography, interactive displays, machinima, paintings, illustrations, sculptural work, and fashion designs. Traditional art and machinima will be judged separately, with $36,000 in total prizes. Seeing as how the Academy of Art is a 20 minute BART ride from my house, I totally plan on going to the exhibition in June.
jpg That sassy bow set at a jaunty angle, her sensuous beauty mark, those inviting lips. I'm surprised nobody has made the connection that Ms Pac Man is a filthy whore, till now.
opportunity cost, because another hour asleep was worth so much more). Or a scary one, your preferences and foresight depending. For the first time, the market for MMOGs in the Western Hemisphere has surpassed $1bil. Media research analysts at Screen Digests found the subscription market made up 87% of the MMO income, with $576 million spent in North America and smaller (but projected to continue to grow) $299 million spent in Europe. " "These new games and platforms have brought with them many new gamers and also new business models that are generating revenue that is largely incremental to the incumbent subscription business." What I really want to know is where Blizzard hoards all their gold. I'd give my left Belf to take a dive into that shiny, shiny vault...
I have not had the pleasure of playing 4, but hope to get to it in the not-too-distant future. For those of you who aren't fans of the Wild Arms series, XSEED has two other games on the way. Brave Sto...
