I knew I loved bacon for several good reasons, and now we know that there are others out there just like me including the likes of James Beard & Julia Child. I love that the author educates and entertains us with the history of bacon. Even if you can't cook (like me) you've got to try some of these recipes (the Bacon-Popped Popcorn is outrageously good).
