1/24    Lately I've been getting automated calls (from caller ID 000-000-0000)
        that I have an unpaid debt and that I need to call back a 1-800
        number. Does anyone know if this is a scam or real?

        \_ Sounds like a scam to me, but, just to be safe, try calling the
           number from a pay phone. You know they an charge you on 800 numbers
           now (like 900 numbers), so if you aren't sure it's toll-free don't
           call it from a phone you own.  A real toll-free number will pick-up
           the tab, a fake one won't.  (Note: This is speculation, never tried
           it)
