More Information on the Medal of Valor CORRECTIONS USA Corrections USA is a not for profit corporation run by and for Correctional Officers. Corrections USA represents approximately 80,000 Correctional Officers from across the nation. We have organizational and/or individual members in 40 states. CUSA is based in California and is honored to join our Brothers and Sisters from this state in taking on this administration on the issue of prison privatization. We stand united and dedicated to addressing our universal concerns, establishing a national voice for our profession, and to stopping prison privatization. assaults on staff, communicable disease disclosure laws, training guidelines and equipment standards, Peace Officer status, networking collective bargaining ideas and strategies, and other concerns that are of universal importance to all dedicated professional Correctional Officers. "No other issue has galvanized professional Correctional Officers more than stopping prison privatization. We believe that by working together, we can stop this injustice. But it will take an all out grassroots effort by all Correctional Officers across this nation. We demand open and honest debate at every table where this issue is to be discussed. CUSA is pleased to join CCPOA to expose prison privatization for what it is- corporate welfare funded by taxpayers dollars," said Jim Baiardi, Chairman of CUSA. Certain functions of government should be performed by the government and the incarceration of offenders is one of them. The public's safety should not be for sales insist, Mr Baiardi, who is also a Correctional Officer who serves as the President of the Corrections Division of the Florida Police Benevolent Association. Corrections USA is dedicated to addressing these common issues and to firmly establishing for all Correctional Officers a loud, clear voice from the halls of justice to the floors of Congress.
