View Replies To: jern IF i were President Bush I would say, "OK, the American people have spoken and they have voted for a tax increase, they will get what they voted for..
View Replies To: jern Ladies and Gentlemen, break out your checkbooks.... This is coming down to Allen in VA and its going to be ugly all over again. Anyone know if they have or have not counted the overseas military ballots yet? Ironic, the military will have to save our bacon from terrorists and Democrats.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
at least now I can do other things because I surely don't want to listen to the constant smarmy comments of the democrats. I'm afraid this means we are stuck with an amnesty program - thanks to all those who thought it would be cute to "teach the repubs a lesson".
View Replies To: jern So much for a conservative SCOTUS appointment in the last two years. I doubt the dem senate would allow any SCOTUS nominee for that manner, unless Bush gets someone from the ACLU.
View Replies To: jern This is going to hurt senoirs, more taxes on ss and higher costs for medicare. This is going to hurt all young families with kids, taking away the kids exemption on the income tax, plus tax increases & all the money to pay for ss & health care & college for the illegals. Those DUmmies who want us out of Iraq, will find out Bush was right. They are in Iraq cause we are, once we're gone, they will be here, all they want is all of us DEAD!
View Replies To: jern Today America voted for higher taxes, pro illegal intrusion and weakness in front of the world. Maybe the American people really don't know what's good for them ..
View Replies To: Aikonaa The thing which worries me most is that a Dem majority in Senate means conservative nominations to the Supreme Court are highly unlikely Not necessarily. You got senators such as Nelson from Nebraska that could put a conservative over the top.
View Replies To: spikeytx86 Losing is a part of politics. Hopefully, we won't be on the outs for another 40 years. "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
eid=189&oid=43310&ar c= According to this, the big cities have reported and the counties of CLAY JASPER PEMISCOT POLK have still not reported anything with talent losing by less than 12k.
View Replies To: philsfan24 I'm already through my 3rd bottle of wine! We'll pick up our stuff, get back on our horse, and fight another day. Getting physically ill, or crying, or screaming, isn't going to change anything. Now, we all need to try and find a way to make this work for our future benefit. That may seem like a tall order tonight, but I assure you that it is possible.
View Replies To: Echo Talon LOL - I would want to say that too, but presidents cannot take the ball and go home. I think he knows he staked everything from 9/11 until today on fighting terrorism the best way he believed. Until tonight it worked and he had faith in the American people that the support would be there. He is probably quite shaken tonight on a personal level but I believe he is strong inside and will still do what he thinks is right. Irony is he cut taxes, help the economy grow to record levels, deposed a dictator, freed two nations, eliminated thousands of terrorists from this world, and put 2 good judges on the court. I suppose he has a legacy coming to him but the present is bleak.
View Replies To: Echo Talon No they voted because they are tired of a perceived arrogant and corrupt party who failed to deliver anything they promised. This was not a vote for Dem's but a vote against the GOP. The average Joe is not a partisan, and when they smell corruption they vote it out, thats how we got power to begin with.
View Replies To: beaversmom The Missouri votes that have yet to be counted are all from the "government cheese" areas -- namely Kansas City and St. The big thing for Missourians is to watch the Amendment 2 cloning issue.
View Replies To: church16 Anyone know if they have or have not counted the overseas military ballots yet? They will be either lost or declared ineligible because they didn't arrive in time.
View Replies Comment #48 Removed by Moderator To: jern Another matter is that Dem majorities in the House and Senate mostly likely mean an amnesty for illegal aliens will become reality.
View Replies To: roostercogburn Live to Fight another day. I honestly don't think that this is all that bad for us. Maybe we'll have to struggle again and fight an uphill battle, and remember what we stood for in the first place. Being in power for so long has made too many Republicans squishy where it counts. If we can focus our message, concentrate on the positive vision we have for America "The Shining City on the Hill", we will prevail. The Republican party as it stands right now (while better than the alternative) is merely a shadow of what it could be.
