A man from Centerville, Ohio, identifying himself as "Sock" Sokolowski has sent a death threat to radio host Stephanie Miller after a recent appearance on Fox "News'" Hannity & Colmes.
The BRAD BLOG has obtained a copy of the profanity-laced letter from Sokolowski which includes a closing salutation claiming that he is "From the right 'Right'". The letter is posted, unredacted in full at the end of this article. On her popular Stephanie Miller Show this morning, the radio host telephoned "Sock" -- who included his address and phone number with the letter -- to confront him live and on air about the letter.
BTW, in this appearance Miller brilliantly says to Colmes: "It's called journalism, Fox News should try it sometime." Despite the numerous clear threats in the letter, Sokolowski -- who opens the letter by writing "As with Cindy Sheehan the best thing that could happen to you would be seeing some WONDERFUL activist sticking an AK-47 up your Glory Holes and sending you into eternity" -- claimed several times during the phone call that he didn't threaten Miller in the letter.
", Sokolowski typed "this is not a threat" before he went on to write that he hopes and prays "that someone decides you're better off as statistics." "Honestly," the letter continues, referring to both the radio host and Sheehan, who lost her son in the War on Iraq, "should I hear of either you leaving this earth prematurely I would initiate a personal celebration that would make Animal House appear to be just another quiet Sunday in church." Promising to to mail copies of Miller's H&C appearance to "some WONDERFUL people," Sokolowski threatens that "we must identify this nation's enemies and though we keep friends close, we MUST keep our enemies even closer and you two vile bitches are just that." as GUARANTEED your words will someday possibly accelerate your demise." He concludes that he "would love to celebrate and would for days on end as I would and will when still another America HATER meets his/her maker."
want the candidates to offer their agenda for the nation rather than simply hate and venom for the opposition. They want to consider alternatives on a range of issues, but all the left offered was a hatred toward our president.

Well, the "SS" (secret service) is busy questioning 14 year old schoolgirls and teachers for things way less blatant than this. Maybe that 14 year old girl should've threatened someone with an AL-47, and then they wouldn't have questioned her! Has "Sock" seen the "SS" in the same timeframe the "SS" got to that 14 year old girl? If "Sock" signed his letter, "Little 14 year old girl", then maybe it would have been perceived as a "death threat"!

There are people here who would vote for anyone or anything as long as there was an "R" after his or her or its name. This idiot is representative of Hannity's listeners/viewers. It's inconcievable that this moron is supporting the bush regime. maybe he had a stroke that made him forget the torture his parents survived, and maybe even he himself survived. Having said that, I think he's as much of a threat as any Nazi war criminal, especially the one in the White House.

My favorite thing was when Stephanie confronted him with this letter of his on the air he denied that he said half the things he said in the letter. When she persisted and read his words back to him he terminated the call in a huff. Kinda reminds of George "I never said 'stay the course' much" Bush. Or Dick "I never impled waterboarding was a no-brainer" Cheney. These wingnuts will not even acknowledge what they put on the record.
Looks like a couple of posts here alerted people to Malloy's resurgence already. I usually read all the posts before weighing in, but it was getting close to showtime! So let's all listen to Mike to get our blood boiling and use the energy to get out there and tell people to VOTE LIKE YOU'VE NEVER VOTED BEFORE! Stand in the line of angry people at the polls who have never had to wait in line to vote before and will be mad as hell at Diebold because of it. It's not the poor 80-year-old poll worker's fault, IT IS DIEBOLD, ES&S, AND SEQUOIA'S FUCKING FAULT! If you're a BradBlog reader, you'll have plenty of verbal ammo to TRASH the creators of the worst election in American history. Otherwise, do as I am going to do, and get an authorization to be a poll watcher from your party headquarters and log or photograph all of the problems that occur at your polling location!
The point of my post (#39) was to state that liberal blogs don't threaten people or post their personal information, even if we know it. Bradblog, if you're going to redact my statement (don't know why it -- post #39 -- needed redacting since I didn't post any of Sock's personal info), then at least leave the point of said post. just wanted to see if I could" without the context of that statement, then it sounds like a threat, and I AM NOT making any threat to this poor misled soul.
Wow, there are some crazy people out there, who spend waaaaaaay too much time listening to right wing radio. These people are stuck in their own little world with no regards to what is really out there. When some of these nutjobs actually start acting on their thoughts then it will be tragic. And I really hope that Mr Socks realizes that some on the left feel that guys like him are the ones that are unpatriotic fools, letting our country be bought and sold to the highest corporate bidder by the right.
This letter just shows me once again, the real personal threats are always toward the liberal minded. Why do people have sich a hard time seeing other people enjoy liberties?
Since we can find Sock's address, why don't we sign him up for postal mailings of various liberal causes? Can you imagine this guy getting a mailbox full of pro-choice, pro-gay rights, pro-education, pro-environment material?
