You may report smoking vehicles with California license plates seen in these nine San Francisco Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. |

Every one of us has the responsibility of maintaining our vehicles to minimize air pollution emissions. This singular effort will help to keep the air healthy for all of us. Unfortunately, some drivers are not aware that a smoking vehicle is such a problem. A number of Air Districts, along with the Air Resources Board, have implemented programs for contacting the owners of smoking vehicles. If you notice a smoking vehicle on the roadway, you can help our effort by reporting it. The information you must have available includes: * license plate number * make and model of the vehicle * time of incident * date of incident * location of incident The following phone numbers are available in the regions listed. If your particular region is not listed, please call the Air Resources Board's smoking vehicle line which is available statewide. Smoking Vehicle Complaint Form and provide the above information. Your call will automatically be routed to the proper air quality agency. This service is provided by your cellular phone carrier, your local air pollution control district, and the California Air Resources Board. |
