3/15 Why does MS put double-quotes around the '8' in Windows Server 8, like
        the following?
        - Windows 8
        - Windows Server "8"
\_ Because when they didn't do it, code didn't see the '\0'
and went over? Looks better than '8','\0' *shrug*

1/26 What's a good motherboard I can get that will fit in a 1U
case, with sata connectors, gig-e ethernet, and lots of
slots for RAM? I also don't want to have to use expensive
double buffered RAM. Can you tell I havne't bought a PC in
        years? thanks.
\_ Buy a mac. Haven't you heard? if you don't buy a Mac people

5/5 Any idea why the AMD only added 8 more registers with the AMD64 arch.?
Why 16 registers and not, say, 32?
\_ To double the accessible register count, you need one more bit
in the instruction stream _per_ register field. x86 instruction
set is already packed like rat's nest as is.

2/5 I like Adobe Flash. When written correctly, it scales along
with your browser size. It looks consistent on every single
browser. It is predictable. On the other hand, I'm not a big
fan of CSS/HTML, which for the most part, look wildly different
between browsers, and don't even work consistently or
correctly at times. So why do so many people (like Steve Jobs)

Is that her nipple showing through the jacket?

To me it seems contrived that she would be curling her hair

10/2 Is there any Adobe Flash plugin for Firefox 3? I go to a site that
uses Flash and click "install plugin", then it says Adobe Flash Player
        is not available.
\_ Uh, yes there is. Download and install it yourself if it doesn't
           work.

Posted Thu August 03 2006 20:05 It's my privilege as the Splinter Cell Community Manager to bring to this community new information about all things Splinter Cell related. Sometimes I have to drop bad news, but in this case I'm extremely happy to have some GOOD NEWS for y'all, so listen up. OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE Word on the Ubisoft street is that you can expect Splinter Cell Double Agent to be on store shelves by OCTOBER 19th. Mark your calendars, or, if you want to possibly get it early (which sometimes happens... This topic contains a piece of unfortunate news and a piece of good news, but I think (hope) you'll be content about it in the end. Unfortunate News first: we will not be having a public beta test of versus mode (PC) like we did for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. We're sorry, we tried to make it happen, but it just wasn't meant to be this time. The dev team has confirmed that we will be doing an Xbox360 multiplayer demo, and single-player AND multiplayer demos for PC. I do not have official dates for you yet so I'll have to get back to you on that, but we can all probably estimate that these demos won't be showing up sooner than a month before launch because no one ever releases demos earlier than that. Wink DOUBLE AGENT SPY RING Remember Team Shadownet, the community program we did for Chaos Theory? I'm pleased to announce that this community program idea has not gone extinct. We have been working diligently behind the scenes to get this set up for the Double Agent community and we will be unveiling the result very soon. Stay on the look-out for more information about the Double Agent Spy Ring. Posted Thu August 03 2006 20:31 sweet, awesome news rhoulette, thank you very much. weird though that pc gets a single player demo as well though and 360 doesn't, but i'm not complaining. Posted Thu August 03 2006 21:57 YAY for Rho Rho Blink So, If I read that correctly, then there will be no SP demo for PC? Proud to say that I am the first to ever compile a custom sound package and mesh with animation package, into Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory's editor. Posted Thu August 03 2006 22:21 sorry to sound like a newbie, but is the multiplayer demo just going to be us running around by ourselfs in the challenge mode? and thanks for the news it makes the wait alittle less aggonizing(sp) ----------------------------------------------------- To make a long story short I am 1/2 Man 1/2 Amazing.
