8/7     I'm getting weird behavior in chaos Linux.  It appears that
        when a process has no children, it spin-waits on system
        calls, but when it has at least one child process, it blocks
        normally.  I don't want my processes to ever spin-wait.  Does
        anyone know if you can turn off spin-waiting??  (If you can,'t I
        guess I'll just have to launch a bunch of fake child processes.)
