7/27 Freepers in disunity on whether Condi's doing a good job on Iran
        and Lebanon
        http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1672802/posts
\_ Why do you care what freepers think? No one posts dailykos junk
here. Why are you posting freeper junk?
\_ Mostly because it's fun watching freepers tear themselves apart.
\_ Could say the same about dailykos or any other random site.
Why post freeper junk here? Anyone reading it is already
                 reading it.
\_ Actually, no, freepers are a special breed, and when they
turn on each other, it's like watching shark week on the
Discovery Channel. Also, a link is not the same as posting
the spew. The link is opt-in; if you don't wanna, don't.
\_ freepers are exactly like the dailykos idiots. the
*only* difference between the two groups is... nothing.
\_ Still, making fun of the mentally handicapped is a
                       little crass.
little crass. Although I will admit to posting
that DU link where the guy proves the 9/11 planes
couldn't have taken down the WTC with chicken wire
and a cup of kerosene. THAT was hilarious.

red meat conservative Conservative national security allies of President Bush are in revolt against Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, saying that she is incompetent and has reversed the administration's national security and foreign policy agenda. The conservatives, who include Newt Gingrich, Richard Perle and leading current and former members of the Pentagon and National Security Council, have urged the president to transfer Miss Rice out of the State Department and to an advisory role. They said Miss Rice, stemming from her lack of understanding of the Middle East, has misled the president on Iran and the Arab-Israeli conflict. "The president has yet to understand that people make policy and not the other way around," a senior national security policy analyst said. written a lot about my disdain for Condi's support of a Palestinian terror state. Here are some excerpts: Every reader knows by now that I don't hide my disdain for the current Secretary of State Condi Rice. Her vociferous advocating of a Palestinian Hamas terror state in the midst of the war on terror, along with other appeasement policies in regard to Iran, have really rattled my nerves as a "red meat conservative". Well, it looks like other major conservatives are now calling for her removal. Here is an article from Insight Magazine that reports about major conservatives such as Richard Perle, Newt Gingrich, and top aids to Cheney and Rumsfeld calling for Bush to remove Miss Rice from the State Dep't. Newt explained his position, "We are sending signals today that no matter how much you provoke us, no matter how viciously you describe things in public, no matter how many things you're doing with missiles and nuclear weapons, the most you'll get out of us is talk. Also, "Condi was sent to rein in the State Department, a senior congressional staffer said, "instead she was reined in". The article goes on to say, "the critics said Miss Rice has adopted the approach of Mr Burns and the State Department bureaucracy that most if not all problems in the Middle East can be eased by applying pressure on Israel. They said even as Hezbollah was raining rockets on Israeli cities and communities, Miss Rice was on the phone nearly every day demanding that the Israeli government of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert exercise restraint." This article has confirmed my fears about the Clintonian foreign policy of Miss Rice. She announced that she expects two states to exist side by side. She meets with Arafat's top deputy and demands the creation of a Palestinian terror state in the midst of a war that was triggered by these very Clintonian suicidal policies of concessions and appeasement that she is advocating once again! Also, keep in mind that Abbas, besides for being out of power and irrelevant is just as much of a terrorist as Hamas. He is the head of Fatah which fields the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades, which is based in Syria. So this guy who was the top aid of Hitler in a headscarf and who has ties ti Syrian terrorists is able to have a cordial audience with an American Sec. And by the way, nobody has ever explained to me how it is geographically possible to create two states (in an area the size of New Jerzey) without breaking one in half? View Replies To: se_ohio_young_conservative The thing is that during the first term Rumsfeld/Cheney were closer to Bush than Colin Powell, thus the Defense Dep't was more influential than the State Dep't. In the second term, Condi is closer to Bush than everyone, thus the State Dep't was brought closer and given more power. Ol' George got rid of one incompetent - the treasonous Powell - only to give Rice the job, and watch her foul it up. It's her job to coordinate the tools of statecraft to achieve US foreign policy objectives. The problems facing the nation are relatively few, and those that are not important must be ignored. Focus on the crazed mullahs and kill them when you get a chance. At her disposal, the Secretary of State has the world's most powerful military, economy, and citizenry. She wanders around the world, and the nation, saying whatever comes into her little-bitty head. View Replies To: red meat conservative Every reader knows by now that I don't hide my disdain for the current Secretary of State Condi Rice Rather full of your own importance aren't you, having only been a member for 20 days? I for one had never heard of you and don't recollect reading any of your posts/threads. If they're all like the one above, that's explains everything. You sound like one of the plants/trolls who were given instructions how to embed themselves in right-wing forums and cause trouble to me. View Replies To: red meat conservative Insight mag has become a stinking pile of dog crap. They obviously know nothing of the MASSIVE changes Rice has made at the State Dept. View Replies To: Txsleuth Correct, that is a holdover of the Clinton/Albright crap. However, in light of everything negative that has resulted from these concessions will she ever change that course of direction? Is this what we need to be conveying to the Palis in the midst of their war on Israel? Three months ago this wouldn't have hurt them, but they choose to do this now? But, have any of these people noticed how she's been handling the Israeli/Hezbollah war lately? Of course her first instinct was to rein them in, it took a directive from Bush to allow the Israeli's to move forward. But can it be denied she's being pretty damn effective since being given the order not to accept a ceasefire that's not a ceasefire? Their main complaint is that her natural inclination wasn't to do as she is doing now. Well, fine, I accept that and it's one reason I wouldn't rank her high as an '08 prospect. But GWB is not going to remove a close friend that's competent in what she does. They should instead being laying groundwork to make the current rhetoric and action be default policy, rather then status quo. And that is easily accomplished by convincing GWB to detail that change to her. Under directive she'd respond daily the next two and a half years as she is doing right now. Really bad timing on their part, and really bad solution to the problem. View Replies To: itsahoot Some people learn slower than others, keep watching and you will catch on, unless of course facts mean nothing to you. I will take your advice even if it means picking up another roll of Rynolds Aluminum Foil at the store. Will it require heavy duty or can I get by with regular? Here's an old American diplomat you would approve of though: "WILLIAM EATON... Besides attending to the ordinary duties of consul, he was authorized, in connection with the consuls of Algiers and Tripoli, to alter a treaty which a Frenchman by the name of Famin- acting as United States agent- had made with the Bey of Tunis. View Replies To: red meat conservative Maybe I am wrong, Nope, you just misunderstood my sarcasm. I am in agreement with you on Condi, but I knew the Bush Botts would be along to scorch the earth. View Replies To: red meat conservative I think that Condi's stubbornness about any kind of cease fire without a "change" is indicative of the NEW way of dealing with this.. And, let's not forget the Palestinian's proclivity for shooting themselves in the foot. View Replies To: red meat conservative I agree if by "Dump Her" you mean "free her up" to start campaigning for Pres. I'm not sure how Condi could fix that short of abolishing it. In Viet Nam the State Dept fought against the Defense Dept. Selling food to and building truck factories for the Communists in Russia who then used their money to finance the NVA. View Replies To: red meat conservative However, in light of everything negative that has resulted from these concessions will she ever change that course of direction? She serves at the pleasure of the president and the direction is his to change. View Replies To: Soul Seeker And that is easily accomplished by convincing GWB to detail that change to her.
