6/13 Has anybody used stainless steel (downhill) skis? Any thoguhts
about them compared to the usual fibreglass skis?
\- One of my pairs of skis are some older Volants [Power Karves].
Does anybody else make steel skis? They are pretty aggressive
skis and ok for cruddy conditions. Volant has been sold a few
times and now is in the hands of the ATOMIC people. Not sure
what their plans are. It's essentially impossible to give ski
advice without info about yor ability level, terrain type and
priorities. I suppose "if you have to ask", your probably dont
           want Volants [$$$]. --psb

what their plans are. BTW, it's essentially imppossible to
give ski gear advice without knowing how good a skiier you are,
typicaly terrain, and priorities [downhill racing or slalom].

If you have to ask, Volant skis are probably not the right ones
[$$$ and good in bad conditions]. --psb
