3/27 I've learned of two good arcade games to play on MAME through the
motd, "Gain Ground" and "Strike Force." What other slightly obscure
        arcade games do motders like?
GunForce - Awesome Contra Style shooter (GunForce 2 is good two, it's
                   a different style of shooter.)
\_ MERCS, Ghouls N' Ghosts, Black Tiger, Magician Lord,
Peter Packrat, NARC, Crystal Castles, Indiana Jones
and the Temple Of Doom, Rampage, Sidearms, R-Type,
Strider, Ninja Gaiden, Alien Syndrome, Altered Beast,
Escape From The Planet Of The Robot Monsters,
           In The Hunt
           In The Hunt, Karnov
I would play Forgotten Realms if there was an easy way to
duplicate the 32 way (I think?) directional joystick.
        \_ 1943
        \_ Cabal, Hammerin' Harry
\_ If you enjoy totally studly homoerotic games about wrestlers
battling Jean-Claude Van-Damme vs giant BDSM leather daddies
wearing gimp masks and knife wielding Frenchmen,
           Pit Fighter is your game!
\_ ...and "Hammerin' Harry" isn't homoerotic?
\_ You need to play Pit Fighter. It's totally insane.
Buff dudes in their underwear beating the shit out
of each other. Sometimes you get a "brutality bonus".
Maybe I can find a screen shot of "TOTALLY STUDLY."

                        \_ "Orientation: Horizontal"

\_ Doesn't hold a candle to Knuckle Bash

        \_ Zombies Ate My Neighbors
\_ Two Tigers (This game is weirdly addictive)

View PCB Image Description Chop-socky with digitized fighters. Choose between a wrestler, a kick-boxer, and a "third degree black belt", and fight your way to the "ultimate warrior". Click here to contribute a description or other text information. Conversion This game can be converted to Hydra by replacing the ROMs and the slapstic IC. Game Introduction The game has three different characters of whom each of the players can be: Buzz, an ex-professional wrestler; Each player character has different fighting styles and techniques and they also each have their own Super Moves. The opponents are The Executioner, Southside Jim, CC Rider, Chainman Eddie, Angel, Mad Miles, Heavy Metal and The Masked Warrior. You must defeat all opponents in order to become the champion. The game has 15 different matches, some opponents like Southside Jim and Angel must each be faced twice in respective matches while other opponents are only faced once. Before you can make it to The Championship Match to face the reigning champion, The Masked Warrior, you must take on two Chainman Eddies. If only one player is in the game, there will only be one opponent at a time in most matches, but if two or three players are in, there will be two or three opponents at a time in each match. Between every three matches, there is a Grudge Match where you will attempt to knock down your opponent three times without being knocked down three times yourself. If only one player is in the game, the opponent will be a computer-controlled clone of the character the player is controlling, but if two or three players are in the game, they will have to fight each other until the last of them remains standing. If the player wins the Grudge Match, a bonus is awarded. In later matches, there are weapons and objects that can be used to fight against the opponents including knives, spiked balls, barrels, oil drums, crates, sticks, motorcycles, bar stools and so on. Those weapons and objects can also be used by the opponents, too. Also, on later stages, there are power pills that can temporarily make both the players and the opponents more powerful and more difficult to hurt. If two or three players are in the game during the last match against the two Chainman Eddies before The Champioship Match, after they get past that one, they will have to fight each other until there is only one remaining to be standing because only one of them will proceed to The Championship Match. Once a player has made it to The Championship Match, the player must then face The Masked Warrior and then try to defeat him to win the championship. The attract mode music is generally considered to be annoying. org) Common - There are 29 known instances of this game owned by a known collector. Of these, 2 of them are original dedicated machines, 1 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards have been plaed in another game cabinet, and 26 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Of the 4,345 video games tracked by the International Arcade Museum and the KLOV, this game ranks on a scale of #56 out of 100 (1=highest) in popularity based on ownership records. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operatos might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. It just uses different ROMs and a different slapstic protection PAL. If the slapstic is bad or malfunctioning, the game will reboot at the third level.
