com have teamed up to give you a test drive of Auto Assault, the new vehicle-based MMORPG due in-store in April. We have a limited number of exclusive keys to give away that will give you full access to the game for an entire weekend. The test drive begins at 4pm (Eastern) on Friday the 13th and ends at 3am (Eastern) on Monday the 16th. NCsoft has lifted the NDA, meaning that you can feel free to discuss your experiences of the game and that the minimum age for testing has been lowered from 18 to 13 to comply with Auto Assault's 'T' (teen) rating. We're allocating keys on a first come, first served basis, so sign up as soon as possible (note you cannot request a key until after Jan 13, 2005 at 4PM EST) for a guaranteed spot. Once you have your key, you'll need to add it to your PlayNC account (details on how to sign up and do this will be sent to you with your key). PlayNC accounts are free and don't obligate you to play or buy any NCsoft game. an alien plague has contaminated the Earth and has given rise to three warring factions - the Humans, Mutants and Biomeks. Each race blasts across a world of ruined cities, mutated jungles and barren wastelands. Travel on-foot is for the foolhardy - the only way to move around the devastated world without ending up as road kill is in a high-powered, customized vehicle, ranging from fast and agile bikes and sports cars through to almost unstoppable semis and tanks. Featuring Havok 20 physics - Auto Assault allows to you blow up and tear down most in-game structures and pedestrians don't stand a chance as you send them flying through the air with a little nudge from the vicious melee weapons attached to your heavily armored and tricked-out killing machine! Not just about driving like a maniac and blowing stuff up, Auto Assault is a fully-featured MMORPG with deep character progression, vehicle customization, classes, skill trees, loot, crafting, PvE, PVP and more. NOTE: This offer is only available to residents of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
b You will be prompted for a location to copy the file to, though we encourage you to leave it set for the default location. Confirm that the I would like to launch the Auto Assault Patcher button is checked. As you are patching, you can read the news and announcements on the patcher page. A small button on the right will let you scroll down to read additional text, if needed. If it does, simply click Next then click Install, and it will update to the current version. Click Finish after it updates and you will see the Updater again. If you are not already patching, click Patch on the bottom right of the installer. The game will begin to download the files it needs to run. This is a very large download and could take several hours. Once you have successfully completed the download and patch process, the PLAY button will light up. If you have a client crash or a lock-up, please reboot your computer, start the client and click Patch. Important things to note: * If you attempt to log in before the appointed time, you will not be able to progress beyond the log-in screen or you may receive a message that your account has been been blocked. If your system has less than 1 GB RAM, please realize that it will be a little while longer before all of our improvements are finished. We appreciate your contribution as this optimization process continues. In our present stage of the beta, optimization to accommodate these lower-end systems is ongoing.
