10/13   I have 2 domain names that I don't really care about anymore. If
        I choose to cancel it, GoDaddy says I can no longer get it back
        or register it until they release it back to the public. If I
        select "Do not auto renew" and just don't make payments, will I
        get fined?
        \_ Why don't you first try to ebay them?  Might at least cover your
           last payment if it's even semi-interesting.  -John

8/3     VMWare + Windows XP + Validation question. I need to test stuff with
        Service Pack 3 installed. I have a valid key that I own (yeah yeah I
        actually *bought* a copy, please don't flame me for supporting evil
        M$). Is it possible to register the key once, and then duplicate it
        for testing purposes?  Will Windows or Microsoft detect copies and
        disable the rest the copies?

7/9     is godaddy still the place for domain names? anything cheaper?
        \_ I use <DEAD>nearlyfreespeech.net<DEAD> since they're really awesome. It's worth
           paying for a decent registrar. Also, I use Sitelutions for the DNS for
           the domain, since it lets you have an enormous amount of control over
           your domain's DNS.

5/5     Any idea why the AMD only added 8 more registers with the AMD64 arch.?
        Why 16 registers and not, say, 32?
        \_ To double the accessible register count, you need one more bit
           in the instruction stream _per_ register field.  x86 instruction
           set is already packed like rat's nest as is.

        Is there any anecdotal evidence of people getting their google
        account hacked?  After I do this change, Google will basically
        own me completely.

        has more than one.  How do I see them all? tnx MOTD!

        actually DOES show more than one.  how come it doesn't work with
        mydomain.
