Search: search New Transbay Service Begins December 5th AC Transit Marketing 09/28/2005 Beginning with the December 5th system-wide service changes, Transbay rid ers will see a lot of improvements to Transbay service. Funded by Regio nal Measure 2, AC Transit will be adding two new bus lines and dozens of new trips to existing lines. Many lines will also have their service h ours extended until 8:00 pm The schedules haven't been finalized ready yet, but the chart below will give you a good idea of the improvements being made to each line. Check back in November for the actual timetables and maps for all lines. New Transbay Service Beginning December 5, 2005 Lines Changes B New eastbound trip leaving San Francisco at 7:00 pm C Minor schedule change. CB New eastbound trip leaving San Francisco at 8:00 pm F Minor schedule change. G New eastbound trip leaving San Francisco at 3:40 pm H The Line H route will be changed to enter the freeway at Gilman, with n ew line J serving the stops between University and Ashby. Westbound mor ning trip times will be adjusted to leave Barrett & San Pablo Ave. every 20 minutes between 6:00 am and 8:00 am Evening trips from San Fran cisco will leave every 20 minutes between 4:10 pm and 7:10 pm, with one last trip at 8:10 pm J New route to begin at Sacramento and University, serving the former lin e H stops along Sacramento St. between University and Ashby, then throug h Emeryville along 65th and Christie. Returning from San Francisco it w ill serve 40th, Shellmound and then continue back onto Christie, 65th, Ashby and Sacramento. Line J will run every 20 minutes during peak comm ute hours, with the last trip leaving San Francisco at 8:00 pm L The 8:30 pm eastbound trip from San Francisco will be moved up to 8:0 0 pm and a new eastbound trip will be added at 9:00 pm to serve both lines L and LA. LA Line LA trips will be added effectively creating all-day service betwe en San Francisco and Richmond Parkway. Morning and evening commute tri ps will operate every 10 minutes, mid-day trips will operate every 2 hou rs between 9am and 3pm, and a new trip leaving San Francisco at 9:0 pm will be added that will also serve Line L stops. MA New line running from the Union City BART station across the San Mateo bridge to Oracle Corp. With 30 minute service during peak periods, this new line will also serve Union Landing, Chabot Colleg e, the Hillsdale Caltrain station and Hillsdale Mall. N Line N service will be replaced by the new regional "Owl" service and l ocal lines 804 and 800. NX's Additional combination routes for NX2 & NX3 and NX3 & NX4 after 8 pm . O Additional weekend service -- will not operate hourly. P Additional afternoon peak period service added with the first trip leav ing San Francisco at 3:15 pm S Service extended to the Eden Shores development south of Industrial and Hesperian. The Calaroga portion of the route will be discontinued, so a ll trips will run along Hesperian. SB Will now operate every 20 minutes during commute hours with the last t rip leaving San Francisco at 8:00 pm V Additional afternoon peak period service. W New eastbound trip leaving San Francisco at 8:00 pm 800 New "Owl" late night line will operate from San Francisco to all stat ions along BART's Richmond line after BART service ends each night at mi dnight. Hourly service on weekdays until 5:00 am, with 30 minute service on weekends to 7:00 am Service available to BART stations on the Bay P oint, Pleasanton and Fremont lines from the transfer point at 14th and B roadway in Oakland.
