When we went to vote in 2000 we thought we were getti ng a Ronald Reagan Conservative. In 2004, we were merely content to keep a Kennedy liberal out of the White House. Now it seems to be confirmed: When we elected and re-elected GW Bush, we got a younger version of his father.
View Replies To: alessandrofiaschi I am not happy about the pick, but you sir are a liar. I've just looked her up on Open Secrets and she has never donated to anyo ne but Republicans.

Anyway, she donated to the DNC and ALGORE for President in the past and I think her background was liberal. I don't think that the best candidate today will be the best Justic e in the years to come. Bush's term will finish in 2008 and then, to who m will she be loyal?
We didn't elect Bush to promote his personal cronies, but to appoint proven, strict constructionists, to counter and reverse the 4 0-year perversion of the Constitution. Clinton nominated the most left-w ing candidate in American history with Ginsberg. Why is Bush so scared t o put a Rogers-Brown up there and win the battle of ideas--Americans ove rwhelmingly support our side.

View Replies To: alessandrofiaschi This is not a legal resume, but a PR release. I just do not know enough a bout the woman to know if this is a good choice. My spouse is already ha ving a tantrum about the pick and Bush hasn't ven made it yet.
View Replies To: safisoft I wasn't even old enough to vote in 2000, and I still paid attention. You should've picked up on the fact that Bush isn't Reagan when he first said "I'm a compassionate conservative."
