7/23 I just finished reading Citizen Soldiers by Stephen E. Ambrose.
It's a sort of GI view history of WWII in Europe from D-day to
V-E day. I thought it was pretty good, very balanced and has a
        lot of good stories.
\_ Look at The Good War by Studs Terkel, Once There Was A War by
John Steinbeck, Guadalcanal Diary by Richard Tregaskis, Ernie Pyle's
War, by Ernie Pyle, and any WWII cartoons by Bill Mauldin--I think
you might enjoy them all tremendously. -John

\_ AP from Syria works fine, too, and those AP shells smuggled
out of Afghanistan are da BOMB.
\_ Out of Afghanistan? No. They're going _into_ Afghanistan
