WJHII War is Peace By William John Hagan (Houston Home Journal, Perry, GA) New York, Washington, London and Madrid have all become victims of terrorism as a direct result of state sponso red terrorism. Prior to September 11th, 2001, several Islamic nations vi rtually declared war on the Western Alliance of the United States, Brita in, and Israel by funding Al-Qaeda. Starting in 1988, Iran funded Ayman al Zawahiri, Al-Qaeda's number two in command. Iraq was also a direct and indirect supporter of Al-Qaeda. Pri or to, during and after my career in Yugoslavia during the Croatian-Serb ian War, I kept a close eye on the Abu Nidal Terrorist Organization and Al-Qaedas activities in the Balkan Region. In the past, Abu Nidal was s ponsored by Syria, Libya, and Iraq. In 2002, Saddam Hussein had Abu Nida l killed because he refused to train Al-Qaeda terrorists thus demonstrat ing a direct link between Hussein and Bin Laden. Furthermore according t o Iraqi intelligence officers' meet with Bin Laden in the Sudan prior to the 9/11 attacks. Afghanistan gave Al-Qaeda a home after it was expelle d from the Sudan and allowed it to profit from the nations lucrative dr ug trade. On a final note, there is evidence that Syria is directly fund ing the insurgency in Iraq. In reality, funding for al Qaeda does not co me from the personal assets of Bin Laden but from terrorist nations and various Islamic foundations or charities. The evidence demonstrates a clear connection between Iraq, Afghanistan, I ran, Syria and Al-Qaeda. All four of these nations bear a collective res ponsibility for the terrorist acts of Al-Qaeda and other terrorist group s Why, then, has the so-called War on Terror failed to include the re maining Islamic Terrorist States of Iran and Syria? The United States invasion of Afghanistan was a fait de complet after th e attack on 9/11. Further, the election of George W Bush had guaranteed a war with Iraq after Saddam Hussein had tried to kill his father. Howe ver, the invasion of these two nations alone can, in no way, be defined as a true War on Terror. Both Iran and Syria have been allowed to contin ue exporting terrorism and the United States has failed to take action. If global terrorism is to be destroyed then the nations that fund, suppor t and harbor such terrorists must be brought to their knees. Allowing Ir an and Syria to continue to function under their current leadership enda ngers all of the nations of the true Western Alliance: the United States , Britain and Israel. The time has come for the Alliance to adopt a Worl d War, instead of a police action, mentality in the fight against nati ons who are determined to destroy us. Such a diversi on of military assets is not only foolish but will make it difficult to win the war against terror on any front. A conqueror should never rebuil d an enemy state before they have won the war. For the world to ever be liberated from Islamic terrorism then the nation s of Iraq, Syria, and Iran all must be conquered, completely, and only t hen rebuilt into Western style democracies. The current goal of Islamic fundamentalists is to destroy our way of life. Therefore, as a means of pure survival and national security we are left with no other choice but to destroy them first. Radical I slam is an enemy that declared war on us and we now must destroy them by all means at the Wests disposal. com William John Hagan is a freelance writer who lives in Haynesville, GA. View Replies To: WJHII Something just does not seem right with this picture. Our dr eaded enemy the Russians are now our allies in the WOT. Instead of fight ing the Chinese in Korea, we sit at six-party talks and make foreign-dir ect investments in Red China. The Afgan resistance sheltered a group that attacked NY. In the name of security, we are all under observation in public settings. The terrorist seem to want us to surrender our assets rather than destroy our way of life. As mentioned so many times on FR, there are numerous v ulnerabilities in America's infrastructure -- yet there has been no succ essful attempt to make a real dent in our economy which (despite the WOT and 20 years worth of illegal immigration) continues to grow at 35%/ye ar. Maybe the terrorists think we w ill walk away from Washington and let them run the country (once we crea te the fascist infrastructure that they need to impose Islam on all of u s). View Replies To: WJHII I agree with you on everything other then Iraq's present status. Rebuildi ng the country is a major part of the pacification process. I do think I raq will not be totally pacified as long as Iran and Syria exist in thei r present state.
