6/8 Some nice plugins for Firefox:
        Spelling Checker for text boxes:
                http://spellbound.sourceforge.net
        Bookmark Synchronizer:
                link:tinyurl.com/9527h
\_ unfortunately, it doesn't yet support SFTP, so setting it
up reasonably is a pain in the butt. -tom
        BugMeNot password lookup:
                http://roachfiend.com/archives/2005/02/07/bugmenot
        \_ also,
Session Saver: (save all open tabs when you want or on crash)
           http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=166
\_ This one caused no end of crashes for me which made it sort of
              a net loss.
\_ This plugin is concerned with its job security.

2/5 I like Adobe Flash. When written correctly, it scales along
with your browser size. It looks consistent on every single
browser. It is predictable. On the other hand, I'm not a big
fan of CSS/HTML, which for the most part, look wildly different
between browsers, and don't even work consistently or
correctly at times. So why do so many people (like Steve Jobs)

spellbound.sourceforge.net
SpellBound is a port of the spellchecker code and user interface from the Mozilla Suite's Composer that enables spell checking in web forms such as html textarea / input elements (html input password elements are not checked by SpellBound) and rich text form elements. There are no special system requirements beyond those to run your browser and it has been verified to work with Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, OS/2, a nd FreeBSD. When I perform a spell check no misspelled words are found even though there are misspelled words... This applies to everyone that has upgraded or re-installed including upgrading to or re-installing any version of Firefox, etc. These are as far as I know the same as the Thunderbird 10 Release libraries. Also, packaged Trunk libraries for Win32 and Linux instead of linking to the ones available from the Mozilla Foundation. The next release should be soon as long as I am able to free up the time. I'm still busy finishing up a rewrite of the spellbound code and hope to be able to release it shortly but shortly is a relative term when coding.

If it isnt a valid combination, just right-click, selec t BugMeNot again, and this time, the window will stay open to ensure you get a valid combination. The script will still automatically transfer t he information to the web sites fields and submit it after you close th e pop-up window. You can change various settings in the extensions options menu if you us e Firefox. Mozilla and Netscapes auto-fill and auto-submit are on by de fault. The multiple remote servers option has been disabled, as it wasn t really put to the use in the first place, and when this site was down, it caused some problems. Important Changes: The context menu has been changed to now only show the BugMeNot option if you right-click in a username or password text field , to help cut down context menu bloat. Never comes back from receiving latest bugmenot server file. It used to work just fine but as of a few weeks ago I get no response. I am using the latest edition of the bugmenot extension with the latest edition of Firefox. com website open in another tab, the bugmenot extension seems to work normally. Maybe this will provide a clue to where the problem lies. The Accessing the server message isnt even directly tied in to the bugmenot database, its just a future proof concept. Particularly annoying is the fact that with this extension installed, you can no longer use the bugmenot site itself - the browser just shuts straight down. I can access the stuff through the bugmenot site and cut and paste the info, but the extension is still not functioning for me as it was prior to the server problems. It appears to be making contact, but is failing to either retrieve the information, or fill in the fields. Itll be a few days before the auto-update gets fixed, though, Im away from home at the moment. This is also not a new version, its the same one that was written about 5 months ago. The problem is the server got axed and I lost a few files, thats all. Sorry to hear about the server crash Eric - I know what a hassle that is. Bugmenot is once again my number one most used extension. Another of my favorites: AdBlock its so great at eliminating ads, its scary! Guess I could switch to Firefox and give that a try while Im waiting to see if this is ever going to get worked out for me. xml file in my chrome directory to fix this in my Mozilla install on Linux? Also tried taking out the bugmenotservers file and that didnt work, either. This extension will not work for that site, nor any pay site. com has a strict policy on only accessing free sites, so if a pay site does find its way onto the database, its quickly deleted. But everything seems to be working now, so enjoy it, I know I do. Fixit NOW or demand insta-help for a free tool, kindly can it and re-read the ext. Heres a tip: Assume the problem is your install (which prolly has 200+ extensions causing all kinds of conflicts and oddities) before griping and demanding bugfixes for nonexistant bugs from the author. If you must, have the decency to list your OS, Browser version, or whatever else he asks for. Give the guy a break and a thank-you for his work, and especially for giving even more time trying to help people here. Kill it if you like :) I hate seeing so much ingratitude and rudeness where it shouldnt be.
