some of the negative email our site has generated The following emails are not edited or culled from the whole. They are si mply the last batch I have loaded on to the web site. I find it rather amusing that a large portion of the negative email that I get have misspelled words, bad grammar and profanity. Maybe, just mayb e, the progressives are right and we need to put more money into educati on if for no other reason than to expand the other sides vocabulary so t hey have something more to say than four letter words. I will begin to cycle the emails and create a best of page, along with a positive message page. com Subject: Social Security SOCIAL SECURITY: Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Pro gram. He promised: 1) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary, 2) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 o f their annual incomes into the Program, 3) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year, 4) That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Gov ernment program, and, 5) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as nco me. Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a So cial Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to "put away ," you may be interested in the following: Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust " fund and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it? A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Sena te. Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social S ecurity (FICA) withholding? Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities? A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immi grants? Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to Receive SSI Social Security p ayments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though t hey never paid a dime into it! hen, after doing all this lying and thiev ing and violation of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn ar ound and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away! And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it! com Subject: keep up the good work Thanks for promoting the liberal agenda. The more it's promoted, the more people are fed up with it and it's lies. Keep it up, you're doing a great job turning Democrats into proud Republicans. Tell me, what is one solid conviction that John Kerry had in his 19 years as a Senator? com Subject: Response to site First of all: Shame on the person who called you a New York Jew. Thats no help to anyone and frankly its ignorant But on your part, it does seem that it would be more constructive to supp ort AT THE VERY LEAST an educated discourse on the politics you support rather than blindly flung propaganda. If the problem with the of the co untry that voted for Bush is STUPIDITY (Im guessing you may mean ignoran ce) it seems like youd be trying to educate people as to WHY your partys policies are better Its unqualified (and by that I mean nonspecific, ie blanket-statements) and extremely phrased rhetoric like this that turn reasonable, respecta ble individuals off of the Democratic Party when an opportunity for bi-p artisan discourse might otherwise exist. Admittedly, I wouldnt want ever y hot-headed Republican running around this country to represent me, but I sure as heck would not be proud of this example of liberalism, either -- the defamation, erroneous slander, and hatred pushed by this web sit e Please understand this is not hate-mail youre obviously zealous about you r views, which is totally fine and is your constitutional right I am sim ply pointing out that there are alternatives to expressing your views an d rallying comradery among your party, which is one of the obvious goals of the one-liners seen here. CM Houston PS What texts are you using to support your claims about Christianity? I will use it to let you k now that I am deeply saddened by the attitudes represented in your produ cts. However the gr oss disrespect that has emerged out of your apparent disappointment with the 2004 preseidential election results is truly loathesome. He was detached from the general public in his mannerism, in his lifestyle, and by his seemingly ever-changing values. It is most likely that he poorly represented the good things tha t the democratic party brings to the American debate. I agree, the resul ts do not bear out any sort of mandate, except perhaps that the Democrat ic party - and Republicans alike - must examine their core values and cl early, distinctly communicate them, stand by them and live them with com mitment, establish the credibility necessary to lead effectively. I honestly listened and analyzed the information I received through severa l media channels. Mr Kerry appeared as a blowhard and did more damage to himself then any of his handlers did, and he lay so many "gifts" at the feet of the Republic ans that they did not have to take action. And his selection of Mr Edwards, whose antics on stage were over-the-to p-cheesey and predicatble (I can mimmic the wave, the point and the vict ory-fist-in-the-air exactly. It began to look insincere and Mr Kerry even robotically mimmiced, I would suggest subc onsiously as if being controlled) showed a lack of good judgement. Even though it was a squeaker, that is why Mr Kerry lost the election. Now, can we get over it and get on with more important business? com Subject: Bush Stole the 2000 Election Why does everyone keep saying that Bush stole the 2000 election? I took American history as a high school student and understand how the e lectoral system works. But, all the proper proceedure was followed and a person was selected to take the office. But attaching descriptive wo rds ("stole") that don't actually apply, only serves to misleads those w ho don't understand how the system works. It's not like this is the first time this has happened anyway. com Subject: response to responce of Rabid Hate While everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions, I would like to ma ke a little correction to you claim that the Republicans stole the elect ion of 2000. In order to broaden your horizons a little, why don't you t ake a moment to actually read the Constitution, which illustrates the el ection process. The Electoral College was set up at the birth of our nat ion. The United States of America is a REPUBLIC, it is not a democracy, as we elect people to represent us. The popular vote is also a fairly re cent advent in terms of American History. The electoral college was desi gned as an equalizer to keep a balance between the power of the states, otherwise the states with small populations would lose their voices comp letely. As you can clearly see, the election was legal, within the guide lines of the Constitution, and entirely in the past. Obviously we weren' t too disappointed with Bush, because we re-elected him. And another not e--during the 2000 election, 30 states chose Bush, including Gore's home state. If that's not a slap in the face to the Democrats, I don't know what is. Furthermore, your claim that the hate radiating from the media is of Republican origin. There ar e times, especially during the months prior to elections, that I cannot even turn on my TV to a news channel without being hit in the face wit h a Democratic-biased news show, especially the morning shows like NBC's Today. Yes, Fox news may be slightly biased toward the Republican side, but that is only because we would like to watch the news without being hit with propoganda from the opposition 24 hours a day...
