4/27 Hi, I can't seem to find a FREE (no filesize limit) tool that rips CD/DVD into an ISO file. I'm looking at http://download.com. Is this the right place to look? Can somebody point me to such a tool if it exists? Thanks. \_ Google for discdump. \_ for movie DVD, use DVD Decrypt. \_ http://csua.com/?entry=35868 http://csua.com/?entry=26665 |

csua.com/?entry=35868 I really just want something that is like "ripping DVDs for dummies" as I'm not a pc hacker guy. |
csua.com/?entry=26665 anyway, you can't directly copy store bought DVD movies; you'd have to get some tools to decrypt the DVD if it's encrypted, yank out the audio/video streams you need, make sure the stuff you want fits onto a DVDR, and then burn it. Now, if you're asking if you can *copy* commercial DVDs, then no not exactly. consumer hardware can burn only a single layer, so you either need to recompress or split the movie into parts. That would imply that there's commercial software to do such things. |
