DVD Editorial Reviews Product Description: Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were not the lone conspirators in the O klahoma City bombingthe attack that killed nearly 170 people in a few s hort seconds. This book, writt en by the relentless reporter who first broke the story of the Mideast c onnection, is filled with new revelations about the case and explains in full detail the complete, and so far untold, story behind the failed in vestigationwhy the FBI closed the door, what further evidence exists to prove the Iraqi connection, why it has been ignored, and what makes it more relevant now than ever. Told with a gripping narrative style and ro ck-solid investigative journalism and vetted by men such as former CIA d irector James Woolsey, Daviss piercing account is the first book to set the record straight about what really happened April 19, 1995. Jayna Davis, over the la st nine years, has persisted in uncovering and proclaiming the truth abo ut the Oklahoma City Bombing, something our own federal government staun chly refuses to do. Books like this often are immediately dismissed by so-called "intellectua ls" and other liberal-types as right-wing drivel. My answer to that is p eople like that need to pull their heads out of the sand and study the f acts of what the author is presenting. Ms Davis has done a stellar job of documenting her investigation (in stark contrast to the amateur job d one by the FBI and DOJ) and the conclusions reached thereby. No one with a shred of common sense can say that the facts Ms Davis present point to two home-grown terrorists acting alone. In short, Ms Davis has proof (beyond reasonable doubt, in my professiona l and personal opinion) that a former Iraqi soldier (probably a former m ember of Saddam's Republican Guard) named al-Huseini helped plan and exe cute the bombing, and accompanied McVeigh IN THE VEHICLE as he pulled th e Ryder truck in front of the fated Murrah Building on April 19, 1995. D avis' extensive interviews document the other Iraqi collaborators as wel l, and "connect the dots" not only to the OKC bombing, but to the later terrorist attacks on America as well. I am NOT a conspiracy theorist, but this one is so obvious it is undeniab le. The federal government, despite having been shown to have conducted an incomplete and indeed incompetent investigation, and in fact having c ommitted outright lying, falsification of evidence, and other possible C RIMES, refuses to acknowledge the evidence Ms Davis has presented. I have nothing negative to say about the book, except to say I wish it ha d a happier ending documenting complete truthfulness from our government . Ms Davis, for the sake of America, and for the sake of freedom and de mocracy around the world, I hope and pray the final chapter has not yet been written. In a time when the words are so ridiculously overused, you r work represents true bravery from a true hero(ine).
See all my reviews It's abundantly clear that people leaving reviews here have never read th e book they're reviewing. Otherwise they wouldn't be making the snide, i gnorant remarks they're making. I've read Jayna Davis' reports since she first began her investigation an d her culminating work is a top-notch example of investigative reporting at its best. She did what the FBI didn't do, didn't want to do, and wha t other reporters were too lazy to do. While the FBI edited and fabricat ed its witness reports, Davis carefully interviewed the witnesses and ob jectively reports what they saw and heard. Her years of research have paid off, but even she can't finish her story without the aid and support of honest intelligence gathering. Now it's time for the governmen t to tell what it knows. Chances are you'll see the Iraq war in an entirely new light. For liberals, this book will dash their fondest d esire to blame the extreme right wing militia groups and "Christian fana tics." But to objective readers, it will open up an entirely different r eality backed up with facts.
I never believed McVeigh and Nichols were the mastermind s Bill Clinton and Janet Reno let many terrorists who took 168 lives, e scape justice. If the government would have captured each and every terr orist responsible for, at the time, the largest terrorist attack on Amer ican soil, the Twin Towers would probably be still standing today.
Ms Davis has spent close to a decade com piling a mountain of evidence, and it's totally believable. Once again the Clinton/Reno legacy shows its true colors. I had already read Stephen Jones' "Others Unknown", an d Abrose Evans-Pritchard's "The Secret Life of Bill Clinton" prior to re ading "The Third Terrorists". Both of those other books covered the OKC Bombing in some depth and were both believable, but neither compared wit h the overwhelmingly convincing picture of Middle Eastern complicity tha t this book will leave you with. Clinton and Reno had the FBI drop the Middle Eastern connection, but they can't erase our memories. I remember quite clearly, in those first hour s after the blast, when the APB went out for John Doe#2 and the pickup h e was driving. And I also remember quite clearly how that fact dropped o ff the radar screen. What Ms Davis does is put that and a thousand othe r details in clear perspective, and proves beyond a shadow of a doubt th at There was an Iraqi with McVeigh in the days ahead and at the t ime of the blast, and there are links from these people to the 9-11 crowd, and good Ol' Clinton did it to us again. This is a must read for all Americans, because it blows a hole a mile wid e in the mantra of the left when they say, "well yeah, we agree with the war in Afghanistan (actually that's a lie, also), but Iraq wasn't bothe ring anybody, blah blah blah."
See all my reviews This compelling book has drawn me in and enveloped me like a ring of smok e Jayna Davis's "The Third Terrorist" is the most compelling and intrig uing nonfiction book I've ever read. Her precise accounts and explanatio ns of the how she investigated the OKC bombing for over eight years is o utstanding. When reading her interviews with witnesses and information s he collects on the suspects, there is little doubt left in your mind tha t she is not being honest or accurate. I've read more than three quarters of the book, and c an't wait to read the last few chapters to see the final outcome of her dogged reporting and the ultimate whereabouts of the suspects she named.
See all my review s Jayna Davis' reportage is truly riveting. No fewer than 22 eyewitnesses place known Iraqi terrorists alongside McVeigh and Nichols. This book is required reading for all Americans, as is Peter Nance's "1000 Years for Revenge".
