View Replies To: WestVirginiaRebel Last night I saw the 1976 movie Carrie. It's not the first time I saw it, but anyway, the way the kids threw away some ballots and replaced them with fake ballots reminded me of the election for governor in Washington --- and, of course, similar electoral practices in rat precincts all ov er the country.
View Replies To: WestVirginiaRebel My own prediction is that that Rossi's re-vote request will be thrown out , and the republicans will win in Washington in the next election cycle. No Washington state official could admit the the vote was tainted by vo te fraud. It would open up a rat's nest that would cause the state priso ns to overflow.
View Replies To: WestVirginiaRebel I think the most satisfactory detail -- if Gregoire is removed -- will be the consternation and figurative (alas, not literal) wrist-slashing tha t will go on at DU etc, and hearing the Hollyier-Than-Thous from the ent ertainment industry shoot off their mouths. In the long run, it'll be better if the challenge is turned back, because that will blow back against the Dims starting next year in the Washingt on elections. True, she an d her cadre in the legislature will cause some damage while they remain in power, but their extremism will alienate their old base. If the challenge goes forward and results in Gregoire's removal, the blow back will be directed at Republicans in Washington state.

It's easy for YOU to say that, since YOU won't have to live with the dama ge that they can, and will, do. How about we give YOU Gregoire, and her fellow democ rats, and we here in Washington sit back and tell you how great it will be for them to destroy your state because it will be good for the next e lection?
