Sampler 2 This genre of American music did not really exist before the Vietnam War. It was created mostly by Vietnam War veterans and almost all has been self-produced. This is the first attempt to put most of it in one place and make it accessible to all. John Trudell is a Vietnam-era Navy Veteran and original member of the American Indian Movement (AIM) His music is not specifically about war but always comes from a "warriors" heart and deals often with conflict. I consider him one of the greatest poets of the Vietnam War era.
