7/21    AARGH!  Would it be that fucking difficult to have fopen and company
        support both back and forward slashes as directory separators?
        \_ isn't fopen just a front to the open() syscall?
        \_ Then you can't have backslashes in filenames.
           \_ And you also can't use the backslash to escape other characters
              in the shell.
