1/27    gnu as (gas) updated to version 2.2. It's not a perfect port, but it
        works.
        gcc updated to 2.5.8, supposedly the 'last' of the 2.5 line. (sheayah,
        right!) lemme know if it breaks anything.  -ERic
        gmu make is now updated to 3.70.  its /usr/local/bin/gmake.  -ERic
