6/15 The Olympic torch will be in LA tomorrow. I still have yet to find
anything on the web telling me when and where to go to see it.
        http://www.torch2004.com/city_Los_Angeles.asp?la=2 is the best I
can find. It only says rough neighborhoods and it doesn't say
what time of day. Surely the media will be covering the torch
relay, so presumably they know about the route from some press
release. Where might I find such a press release?

3/21 Browser Plug-In you must get: Ghostery. It gets rid of a bunch of
ad trackers on a web site, resulting in really fast load times.
For example, a typical media site will require 10-15 trackers
(you know, those URLs that track your activities so they can
target you better). Ghostery kills them.

As many of you know, Gold Medal Collectibles, on behave of the So. California Olympic Pin Club, has been in discussions with Los Angeles City Hall staff concerning the 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Torch relay segment for Los Angeles. The 2004 Athens Olympic Torch relay route, through the streets of Los Angeles, was announced on Monday, June 14, 2004. The delay for the announcement has been due to security reasons for this event. The relay will start at 9 am at Venice Beach, go to Santa Monica, Hollywood, the Amateur Athletic Foundation of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, pass the Staples Center, Wilshire Grand Hotel (site of the 23rd Olympin Collectors'Show in October), Los Angeles City Hall and then finish up at Dodger Stadium. The City of Los Angeles had requested authorization (from the Athens Olympic Torch Relay Committee & Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Organizing committee) to stage a small celebration for the 20th Anniversary of the (1984) XXIII Olympiad of Los Angeles. This event was planned for the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum upon the arrival of the Olympic flame. Gold Medal Collectibles (GMC), had also proposed to Los Angeles City for a small area, be set aside for the Southern California Olympic Pin Club, to host a pin trading booth at the Coliseum during this proposed celebration. GMC was informed by Los Angeles City Hall staff today (6-8-04), that this event was not approved those Athens committees. There will be no celebration or pin show to commerate the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games held at the Coliseum on June 16. There will be a short program for the arrival of 2004 Athens Olympic flame, at the Los Angeles Colisum. Then, the torch will travel on to downtown Los Angeles and Dodger Stadium.
