Fahrenheit 911 Friday, June 4th, 2004 Fahrenheit 9/11 Opens June 25 Hey Everyone... As you may have heard by now, we finally have a distributor in America for "Fahrenheit 9/11." Lions Gate Films and IFC Films have agreed to aggressively distribute "Fahrenheit 9/11" in theaters all across the country beginning three weeks from today on Friday, June 25th. We are, needless to say, extremely grateful for their courage (trust me, no matter what the potential box office may be, anyone who has considered taking on this distribution job has also met with a lot of pressure NOT to do it in the past month). They will open it on a record number of screens for a documentary. Jon Feltheimer, the man who runs Lions Gate, was the executive in charge of the company that produced my television series, "TV Nation." And the people at IFC (which owned Bravo) were the same people responsible for funding and broadcasting my other series, "The Awful Truth." It was also a Canadian company, Salter Street Films, that produced "Bowling for Columbine." I know, it's kinda sad we have to keep depending on our good neighbors to the north. I'm in the mood to spill some beans, much to the consternation of certain people.
Thanks for all your wonderful letters of support -- they have meant a great deal to us. It's the first summer film where the special effects will be real... And most of you will also be able to see it this summer!

Polygraph, uses the President's own words to dramatize this deceit in a powerful and visual way. They've tested it, and they know it's potent: if they can run it in target states, they can make a deep and lasting impression on the folks there.
In a forceful preview of the Bush administration's expansionist military policies in this election year, Vice President Dick Cheney Wednesday painted a grim picture of what he said was the growing threat of a catastrophic terrorist attack in the United States and warned that the battle, like the Cold War, could last generations.
THE CORPORATION THE CORPORATION engages us in a darkly amusing account of the institution's evolution as a legal "person" whose prime directive is to produce ever-increasing profit for it's shareholders regardless of the cost to anyone, or anything else. Imbuing it with this pathological nature is a recent human achievement. Today it is a global power that uses its status as a "person" to claim rights under the constitution.
org When he was seven years old, Brandon Maxfield was accidentally shot in the face, becoming a permanent quadriplegic, completely paralyzed below the neck. The pistol that discharged while being unloaded was deliberately designed so that its safety had to first be moved from "Safe" to "Fire," making the trigger active and accidents more likely. A unanimous jury found Bryco Arms, the manufacturer of the pistol, responsible for its defective design and for Brandon's injuries and medical expenses. Rather than redesign the pistols, which experts agree have few if any legitimate purposes, and fairly compensate Brandon, Bryco Arms and the pistol's designer Bruce Jennings declared bankruptcy, and are now attempting to reorganize under a new name to continue making the same defective "Saturday Night Specials," placing more innocent children at risk. On June 17th, the bankruptcy court will auction off Bryco Arms' gun-making equipment and other assets. Bryco Arms plans to sell them to its long-time plant manager, to simply continue the production of these defective pistols under a new name. Your donations will allow Brandon's Arms to purchase the equipment to ensure that it never again makes guns. Bryco/Jennings cannot be allowed to cripple a seven year old boy, and get away with his long planned scheme to simply sidestep the judgment in bankruptcy and continue with business as usual.
The definition of "desertion" is being AWOL for more than 30 days. Webster's dictionary defines "deserter" as: "One who forsakes a duty, a cause or a party, a friend, or any one to whom he owes service; especially, a soldier or a seaman who abandons the service without leave; How long will it take for Peter Jennings to apologize to Mike and to the country? That description, it seems, only belongs to Peter Jennings.
The MUSIC ROW DEMOCRATS organization was formed in December 2003 by a group of Nashville music industry leaders who were fed up with feeling as if they had to apologize for having a liberal viewpoint, particularly when they knew that conservative policies were negatively affecting the lives of the working class people who make up much of the audience for their music. Since that initial meeting, the group has grown to include more than 350 members who are working to create an effective vehicle for the liberal political voice of the music community. And the community is not limited to Nashville or to country music, so join us and let your voice be heard.
